MarkR 11 Posted August 22, 2014 Hi All, This is the aerial base I have removed from my late 1995 Corrado. It has been suggested that poor radio reception may be due to the amplifier in the base failing. Does anyone no if this base contains an amplifier? There does not appear to be a separate power lead, but I read somewhere that the power may be fed via the coaxial cable. Any advise gratefully received as I don't want to spent £25 replacing a part that is ok. Thanks
seanl82 23 Posted August 22, 2014 Have a look in the wiki section mate. There's a guide with how to bypass the amp which should result in better reception.
dragon green 5 Posted August 22, 2014 I believe there was two types, the early had a booster in the aerial base, The later (I believe)had a booster behind the radio,

I must have the later type so the problem is with a booster behind the radio. Just need to refit the aerial and get all the trim back!
