sexybourbon 0 Posted September 18, 2014 As per title really My rear quarters are out and im wanting to get them as clean and new looking as possible The rubbers have slightly deteriorated over the years , up to now iv used the muc off super cleaner and a sponge/scourer to rub the rubbers wich has worked ok I was wanting a better finished and was thinking of using a lights sand paper to try even out the finish , like a wet/soapy 2000 Also iv got some poor boys natural look trim dressing but any others that may be as good or better ill give a go Any exparience shared would be most exellent
seanl82 23 Posted September 18, 2014 After 2k, go 2k5 or 3k for a nice flat finish. Carpro Dlux or G-techniq c4 will make them look like new for a long time Matt. It's not cheap, but honestly, you get what you pay for mate. Neither of them are over shiny and wet looking, just nice deep black and new looking bud. Goldie 2 Posted September 18, 2014 I can't comment on durability but the G-techiq gives a lovely matt finish on rubber, they almost look grey rather than a gloss black..
robrado974 1 Posted September 18, 2014 I cant comment on the above product , but ive tried a few things , not cheap stuff either . I found that when it rains you get black streaks down the bodywork . I now use maguires detailing spray on nearly everything on the exterior , this lasts and will not produce nasty marks .
ChrisL 18 Posted September 18, 2014 I used DLUX on mine Matt and they came up really well, this is similar to gtechniq I think. Make sure you clean them with Isopropyl alchohol spray first and give them a good scrub!
