Mk3highline 10 Posted October 14, 2014 Does anyone know how heavy the standard duel mass flywheels are? Thank you
Sean_Jaymo 0 Posted October 14, 2014 I know they are quite a bit heavier than the 12v items. Only those with 02M boxes will have an idea. Why would you like to know?
Mk3highline 10 Posted October 14, 2014 Curious as have ordered a ttv racing flywheel today which is 4.4kg iirc the standard 4mo one is around 11.4kg Was thinking of lightened pullys but will give it a miss for now plus with all the problems I may have with harmonics etc one thing at a time
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 14, 2014 Yep, 11 - 12Kg for the DMF. VR6 ones are 9Kg. I used a standard VR6 one in my conversion but in hindsight, I wish I had used a dual mass and R32 clutch for a much better pedal and less vibrations in the cabin. Need an O2M from an EOS V6 though. Mk3highline 10 Posted October 14, 2014 With the vibration I hope the balancing will take care of most of it but then again it's a vr6 I am also getting the 4mo box but not using it
