A5 VRX 0 Posted November 1, 2014 I quite like the look of these and they seem a pretty decent fitment for the VR6, anybody run them or have info on them? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-X-CH-STYLE-ALLOY-WHEELS-5X100-17X7-5-ET35-GOLF-MK4-VW-/221520398815?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item3393a509df Adam
Sean_Jaymo 0 Posted November 1, 2014 Real bbs versions are very heavy for what they are, I can only imagine what copies are like.
A5 VRX 0 Posted November 1, 2014 Weight does seem to be a problem from what I'm reading, I just want a nice set of rims!
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted November 3, 2014 With wheels priced that cheaply, I'd be more concerned about what happens in pot holes! They do look good though!
mic_VR 3 Posted November 3, 2014 Strength is always the issue on reps. Agree with Kev though, they look really good. Might refurb my CH's in a dark colour....
sexybourbon 0 Posted November 3, 2014 Would they not still have to meet some kind of strength test and safety rating though or can they just be splashed out any old how ?
KipVR 1 Posted November 3, 2014 (edited) Yeah I've been looking for another cheap set of wheels for the winter, they look good but they'll always be 'reps' though. These are quite nice for cheap wheels. No better than the reps in quality though!! http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=271648700856 Edit, sorry scratch that I think it's a mistake on the listing, don't think 17" are available. Kevin Bacon 5 Posted November 4, 2014 Would they not still have to meet some kind of strength test and safety rating though or can they just be splashed out any old how ? If they are sourced from the far east (highly likely), they will be subject to the same safety and quality standards that their £2.99 phone chargers are. I.e. they can burn your house down!
