Update D-Day -4

 

Test STALLING: Day2 - NO STALL !!! :dance:

 

Drove in warm afternoon

Picked up kids

Drove to garage for chat

Drove on bypass

Bit of shopping

 

MASSIVE smile on my face!

No more panic attacks at junctions .... :cheers:

 

 

 

Garage did say "if it stalls next time, disconnect the MAF"

 

Interesting, coz Sanky did cleaner the MAF connector too :thumb right:

Absolutely fine :dance:

 

Always park in my favourite spot with no car nearer than TWO parking spaces from me :lol:

Update: D-Day -3

 

Test Stalling: Day 3

- 6am to work: NO STALL :dance:

- Car warms after 10min drive (ie oil temp displays 54degrees)

 

 

 

Bad bits:

1. Clutch STILL sticky after changing Clutch Slave Cylinder :eek:

- Clutch stays about 1/3 down

2. Knotchy gear change (normal with new gear oil REDLINE MT90 when cold)?

3. Still crunches ocassionaly in 1st at standstill

4. Coming out of roundabout in 3rd and then struggled to keep up with a Fiat 500 woman driver :eek: :shocked:

- just my driving or am I expecting too much for a 190bhp from new?

 

 

 

List of priorities:

1. Continue to drive daily to test stalling

2. Fix the door handle (no luck :()

3. Fit stock air box (weekend)

4. Anything else not priority

Saving MZpog reading my long thread here ...

 

 

I bought Prelude 2nd car in August.

Then CRX as daily car in August.

 

CRX was too loud and too low - but it was an awesome pocket rocket i decided to:

Make the Prelude daily and CRX as summer car.

 

 

Rust was discovered in the Prelude.

So had to put into garage to rust-proof over Xmas.

That means CRX needed to come out as daily.

 

CRX just wasnt practical enough (i have 2 kids and loads of taxi ing).

Decided to sell CRX and sold within 2days.

 

 

Needed a daily, but no other Jap classic i like or can afford,

so took a plunge for 1991 Golf Mk2 GTi 8v - got outbidded on Sunday by £1000.

So on Sunday after decided to go for this White Corrado i seen on eBay for a while ...and history was made! :thumb right: :lol:
