Wayne2015 10 Posted March 29, 2015 Done! But its NOT going to be easy sliding it back in! Bit of rust around sunroof Nice debris inside the headliner (someone been in there before?) Passenger windscreen trim come off ok :thumb right: But driver side i think the windscreen fitter super-glue the trim to it?!!! :shocked!:
Wayne2015 10 Posted March 29, 2015 Couldnt get the rear passenger coat hooks off :( Anyone any ideas? I tried knocking it up with a mallet.. I think the actual brass fittings inside the hook rather than separated from hook (which suppose to just lift hook and slide off???)
seanl82 23 Posted March 29, 2015 Just get a flat bladed Screwdriver and try to leaver it off Wayne. It'll coff off eventually.
Wayne2015 10 Posted March 29, 2015 Just get a flat bladed Screwdriver and try to leaver it off Wayne. It'll coff off eventually. Cheers Sean! Being unabled to remove the hooks - But that bit of the trim was a struggle to slide the headliner out :( Need to remove more side trims - As i had to warp thd headliner quite a bit to slide it out. So to slide it in PLUS new foam strips will be neigh impossible without breaking / snapping the sponge headliner  Next job (when C is in garage): Open up sun roof to fix leaks Remove rear bumper (?) to check sunroof drain outlets :thumb right:
Wayne2015 10 Posted March 29, 2015 Just found this in the storage under steering column Any idea where it came from?
Sean_Jaymo 0 Posted March 29, 2015 Nothing in the car takes a bulb that big? They are similar to the bulbs for the dash lights but it's too big.

Wayne2015 10 Posted March 30, 2015 Ok I can hear rain water dripping inside the sunroof into the drain channels? And this is WITH electrical tape on the outside of the sunroof seals (only the back though) I can see (now headliner removed), The whole sunroof seal is SOAKED :shocked!: So its true The sunroof seal does NOT prevent water getting in
VAG-hag 0 Posted March 30, 2015 The sunroof is designed to let water through and drain through the drain holes on 4 corners of the sunroof cassette. The fog /horn thing made me lol. Not sure what's happening there!!

As more problems may arisen like mine! Horn did work before. As i always test the horn - AND front/rear fogs worked too when i first tested them! I not going to cry - been there or here now many many times before :bonk::bonk::bonk: I can ONLY laugh
Sean_Jaymo 0 Posted March 30, 2015 The plugs for the horn and fog lights in the loom are exactly the same. I'd hazard a guess that when the front of the car came off for a new radiator, these plugs were cross connected, easily done as they are in a similar area. Sean_Jaymo 0 Posted March 30, 2015 Even you can fix this! You know where the horn is from a post a few pages back, look for the plugs on it and see what plugs in the area look the same and swap them. They are the only plugs which can be mis-connected on the car which are near each other.

Cool! :thumb right: I tell garage to do it then! :D As car is back to garage next Wed to secure the lose radiator! ;) But as the C will be in the garage (whilst I go to Bristol in my Honda), After my return from Bristol, I ll stick me head under the now dried C (heavy rain+rain these few days :() and give it a go myself! :) But not doing that UNDER a scissor jack though!
Chuggs1 10 Posted March 31, 2015 Be coming through the front then. The seals are not meant to keep rain out just the wind i think..... So rain Andrei through a bit into the channels and out through drain holes... Pretty sure that's how it works
Chuggs1 10 Posted March 31, 2015 Lol Looks like that was already answered.
