6 spped o2m compatibility

Morning all

I fancy a 6 speed box for my G60 rado and wondered if anyone has fitted a 02M 6Speed Gearbox from a 2001 180bhp Seat Leon?

 

and is it possible easy or difficult?

I heard an 02S box would bolt straight in with very few mods?

But arent the gear ratios different?

It will all be much of a muchness. They are bound to have a longer final or 6th for emissions but everything else will be pretty similar.

Pretty sure when I was weighing up gearbox options for a mk2 swap a few years back I remember reading 1st being to short? Might be wrong though.

I can't say I've driven all vw 6 speeds but first being very short and second quite long seems to be a vw 6 speed trait from the ones I have driven, petrol and diesel.

Thanks boys al good info, I am kinda after a longer top gear and would be prepared to lose a little acceleration in bottom.

As a cheap box is kicking about I might have to have a go
