Thanks guys.

The car went down well as usual.

I have no idea regarding the performance as I got it for the look and noise.

Bliddy nice mate, I need to buck me ideas up  Never seen a flush tailpipe like that before, thought it would get a bit cruddy. Huh, might have to try it meself. Those tank straps do look the bizzo I must say.

Thanks buddy.

The tailpipe does stick out past the bumper a good few inches but the pics don't really show that, I wanted it finished straight and not at an angle and not sticking way out.

Looks lovely mate. You have done a lot of good work to your car in such a short space of time. Congrats on the win also!

A couple of pics sent to me from the Scottish car show and my upgraded headlight bulbs, rear axle bushes and spare grill and badges arrived.

Need to get the grill to the painters now.

Got a price in to do the chains, guides, tensioners, clutch and bearing and crankshaft oil seal from the best VW specialist up here.

The chains are not needing done as far as I'm aware but at 94k miles I will consider it.

Looks lush! Well done at the show!

I've just turned 94k in mine and was thinking of doing the same. What sort of price did you get back and through who?

Cheers

Just bought a 90k mile R32, so it will stop me spending silly money on the VR.

Dont know what to do with my 3 cars though

Wife is not overjoyed

You must be addicted to that 6-pot noise now Chris ;)

Only driven the R32 home from buying it and it seems like a bit of a raw beast whereas I treat the VR with more respect :thumbleft:

:thumbleft: Saw your post on Facebook the other day and had a chuckle to myself about what your missus would be saying.

Always loved the Mk4 R32s, had a brand new one a few years ago now and have thought about another on a few occasions, the right car always appears at the wrong time though :bonk:

I told myself that I would stick to one toy after having 2 mk1 Golfs for a while and a year later the garages are full again :bonk:

Should I have bought it, no but I did and it will stop me spending needless money and time on my already very tidy VR.
