Synta oil.

Recommended Posts

Anyone bought a 20litre barrel of synta from eBay for about 50 quid... I assume it's the real stuff not Chip pan oil. Seems a lot cheaper than buying 5 litre cans. But not in a branded container.

If you're talking about the 10-40 Synta then it's way cheaper than that from TPS... maybe half that price.

The Platinum is usually around £50 for 20L (12.99+vat for 5 IIRC)

At Volksfling every year the VW Commercial stand sell 5l for £10 and 3 x G13 bottles for a tenner.

Brilliant value.

Anyone bought oil from these guys before.... seem to sell lots of different oils.

40 quid for 20 litres seems okay... if it's not chip pan oil.... or should I be buying from a VAG outlet.

I only really need 5 litres as I have a bit spare in the garage.

Oil doesn't need to be anything special as I really just use it to flush the engine out every six months as the car doesn't go anywhere and doesn't get up to tempteture so the block suffers from a bit of condensation over the winter.
