Stone0311 0 Posted July 12, 2016 Afternoon All, After stripping my firewall for a respray I am now looking to pipe it all back up and refit master cylinders etc, would there be any merit in applying some self adhesive heat shield to the firewall directly behind the manifold? I know some didn't come with it fitted, so may be worth asking around the breaking threads for one if you don't have it mate. Edit; just noticed the G60 bit! Can you use the VR6 stock heatshield? Thursdave 10 Posted July 13, 2016 Can't tell you what the difference is, but they're different part numbers for the bulkhead firewall heatshield for a VR6 and a G60. G60: 191803326C VR6 (with airbag!): 536803312A Both obsolete now, sadly. STU175 0 Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) i couldnt track down a new one so covered my one in heat reflective tape given to me my mate whos a heating engineer. he use it on boiler ducting and flumes and has no idea where he got it im afraid [ATTACH=CONFIG]84151[/ATTACH] it tidied it up and you can hardly see it when engine is in. i believe the vr6 one is alot bigger/taller than the g60 one Edited July 13, 2016 by STU175 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Just looking at how high the shield needs to come - don't want to bring it all the way up unnecessarily.
