bonnet transport

Recommended Posts

Hi chaps,

I've purchased a new bonnet without thinking it through. The question is, will a corrado bonnet fit in the boot of an Audi A4 Avant B7? Has anyone done this?

I'm not near my car to have a measure up

Thanks

Not mine, but I did used to run an Oyster 655 which I also circumnavigated for the owners. Best few years ever working with my mates and getting paid to go sailing in the sun. I ended up living in Palma for about 11 months before leaving the boat

For future reference, if you have an A4 avant you can fit a bonnet in

You will need to remove the rear seat base and the load cover and the wiggle it in

Nice boat the 655.. what a dream... need a few more crew first, would love an x yacht ... one or two nice boats in Palma at the moment for the super yacht cup. Not been across the Atlantic yet. But done most of English Channel, biscay and med. our old boat had a bit of an accident this week. She was in Grenada when hurricane Bret came through... broke free from the mooring buoy. Nice hanks of rope.

Bit late for this but a bonnet fitted in the back of my old mk5 golf which is smaller than the A4 :)

Another useful update. A Corrado tailgate will also fit inside the boot of an A4 avant. It's also much easier to get in than a bonnet

I must admit I was surprised how easy it went in.
