Hmmmm even on a late Corrado?

 

Its just a 2 inch cut from the double skinned framework underneath the bonnet, it doesn't show with the bonnet closed and if you go steady with the dremel you wont scorch the paint

Sounds about right mate. From memory i think i ended up cutting mine slightly larger in the end as i think my vibratechnics front mount sits the engine slightly higher.

I can't find an image, from memory its the OSF corner that catches, once fitted if you close the bonnet slowly and use a torch you'll see where its about to catch. Open the bonnet and put some blutack on that corner then some emulsion paint blobbed on top of that before lowering gently again you'll put a mark exactly where it catches on the framework.

Thanks Dox... the path of the car has changed hence the Schrick... I'm going to be building the engine up at my mates place in Silverstone - he's a Porsche specialist but has a wealth of experience in just about everything automotive... he's currently got the cylinder head which will be port/polished/matched/big-valved/cam'd and the block is going up tomorrow and will probably end up at 3ltrs and fully balanced and lightened... along with the manifold it should be fun....

 

Being a Porsche man he also wants go do this.... GT3 RS Grey... I'm sort of coming round to the idea... but always been a firm believer that a car should stay the colour it left the factory.... hmmmm decisions

Love the white, don't do it! Will be worth more keeping the original colour in my opinion.....

John manyard had a grey corrado once, before it was scrapped.. not my cup of tea....

 

JK has a mclaren 675 long tail in grey with orange interior and that's rather sexy...

indeed m8 - it shifted to white being everywhere on new cars a couple of years ago

 

ive always loved the rado in white, it was one of the reasons i brought my valver back after parting with it for a few years - that & the ultra rare Kamei kit ;) lol

Does look good buddy, I'd love a white but got an ice grey waiting for attention on the drive....

Interesting comments. I do like the vr noise so just concerned that a short runner might lose that.. Did he advise anything there at all? Id rather not lose low end torque tbh in fact id sacrifice some top end to increase it lower down.

 

You need a 2.8 Golf manifold then

I've converted mine to obd2 so already have the golf one p!us some 264 cams. Just want to improve low end power delivery a bit more

I think thats about your lot without the schrick mate. Have you considered the g60 final drive? I've not done it myself but I've heard some great things about it.

 

Or turbo??

Sounds good. Slightly off topic but how are you finding your obd2 conversion? I brought one off the forum last year but haven't got round to fitting yet.

Really like it. Idle is much better, economy has improved, it never stalls, and there's a lot more data in vcds - although i dont know how to make use of it yet! Driveabilith is also better.

Plus the engine bay is a bit tidier..

 

I guess i need to start my own schrick plus g60 final drive wanted thread now...

Thanks mate. Thats everything i want it to do lol. I'll have to have get it remapped again though as mine is supercharged. Thats going to be another £400+ ffs haha.
