dr_mat 0 Posted September 12, 2017 Have to agree with comment #3 - speedlines are perfect. A Corrado is for life, not just for the MOT.

A Corrado is for life, not just for the MOT. i agree too - especially with their relatively light weight i do really like those Ronal Turbo's though but it is autostrada modena's i want for my VR :D
Geeba 0 Posted September 12, 2017 To some degree they are perfect... We were putting 15" BBS wheels on GTI's in the late 80's - I've always felt the Corrado with its rather large wings, hind quarters and altitude could of easily worn a 16" or 17" from the factory - which I hate to say would of aged more gracefully... I think somersetdub hit the nail with Evolos http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?50041-Somersetdub-s-Aqua-Blue-VR6/page11&highlight=evolos You've got the throw back to the 90's and the speedline with the 5-spoke design, yet a wheel that looks modern. MarkR 11 Posted September 12, 2017 Have to agree with comment #3 - speedlines are perfect. A Corrado is for life, not just for the MOT. I agree, although 16" would fill the arch out a bit more.
dr_mat 0 Posted September 12, 2017 Increasing the rolling radius fills out the arch a bit more, but then you get fouling issues and the speedo is wrong.. (and the car goes slower). 16s on their own don't change the arch-fill quotient. Lowering it does though. A Corrado is for life, not just for the MOT. Billzeebub 1 Posted September 17, 2017 Speedlines are the perfect wheel for the C. Though, arguably a 16" version would fill the arches better.

Have to agree with my own comment...... :) However, I do find myself looking at those d90's though, can't make my mind up if it's the stance, wheels or both but it's a dam good picture! Jim 2 Posted September 18, 2017 Personally I think the Sebrings, Speedlines and Solitudes all look fantastic on the Corrado to be honest. Estorils.. probably not so much!
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 19, 2017 Speedlines with a moderate drop. Doesn't get any better than that. VW have always been good at choosing wheels.....apart from the Ronal Teddy Bears. 17" BBS RX rocking up with a close second.
