Cressa 44 Posted June 22, 2020 For some strange reason I had these audi door pins that have a rubber boot. Perfect fit as I am searching for both of my originals. They are a sturdier item. What's your thoughts? Just an alternative !!
James. 9 Posted June 22, 2020 (edited) They look great. Have you a part number / model for them ? The originals wear along the plastic pin. Eventually they catch on the metal casing and stick. The rubber boot is a bonus and looks neater. I’ll get some for the 8v when it sees the road again. Edited June 22, 2020 by James.

fendervg 33 Posted June 23, 2020 That looks nice - are they double or single pin? I make the part# out as 8D0947561, it looks like there might be a double contact version ending in A. Just musing because the double ones are handy for alarm systems, lights on buzzer etc.
Cressa 44 Posted June 23, 2020 (edited) The one I fitted had double contacts. I didn't look properly at this one, but will check later. I dont know what model they are off though Edited June 23, 2020 by Cressa Spelling
fendervg 33 Posted June 23, 2020 I think they may be off an A4, but probably found on lots of other like Skoda/Seat.
Dox 23 Posted June 23, 2020 I think they’re Audi 80, I’m sure our old cab had them?

Cressa 44 Posted July 10, 2020 There is also a double contact version ending in D. This has the screw hole at the bottom and the pins pointing upwards. The A version has the pins pointing downwards but is fine if your wires are long enough
