Cult society Air Intakes - Fitting

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Does anyone have any exprerience fitting these as im having a few issues getting the indicator to sit right?

See pics: bit of trimming to the seal around the back of the fog and the vent sits fine in the bumper, Indicator just wont sit properly in the (tight) space remaining? also the profile on the side of the vent doesnt seem to match the side of the indictor?

Are they supposed to fit earlier fogs? I'm just wondering why it wouldn't fit.

Good luck

That's what I  was going to suggest - the early 16v and G60 has a different bumper where the fog unit could be removed separately to the indicator. Later cars had a one piece unit with integrated fog light.

Just, two types - the early indicator fits straight into the bumper, whereas the later one goes into a plastic housing which has the fog light built into it.

Thanks @fendervg

Found an old thread on vwvortex that suggests they were made to suit the later indicators, from a search looks like both types of indicator can fit early or late bumpers with a bit of modification - now just need to track some down 👍
