ABS light is OFF

So, I've read the posts about the ABS light not turning off but what does it signify if it doesnt come on all?! ie not at start up or ever.

Bulb blown most common, tampered with by previous owner next on the list, VCDS scan should reveal any codes

If you take the switch apart, you'll see it's a bog standard incandescent 12v twin filaament bulb, soldered onto the end of the PCB - easy enough to replace with another or an LED with a little bit of soldering know-how.

Alternatively, if you decide to source another one second-hand to replace as a whole, make sure you get exactly the same part number as on the one you have, as there are couple of different versions.

As above. Good luck if it is the BA version as people expect that pile of sh#t model to be made of Gold for the price, but is the most pathetic one

Definitely try replacing the bulb. Worst case, others will fit but you need to replace the plugs and re-pin to the relevant numbers or make up a flying lead.

I've done it with 3 different versions. Or make a replacement unit fit in your old housing maybe
