Hi there i am restoring my one owner (my dads) Flash Red VR6, nearly done but i need a new OE windscreen

 

Can someone advise where to get ones as they are no longer available from the searching so far

Where abouts are you? 

I used Nottingham Windcreens n the end and I had a choice with the top tin too. 

They admit they are a swine to fit, so get the spacer blocks from vw that sit at the bottom to hold the correct windscreen height.

The 1st guy that did mine was shite.

Did a great job and didn't use the spacers I bought, really took his time to give me a 1st class job, very happy. I supplied the windscreen.

You can have the spacers I have if you want them.

Did you get any luck with availability?  Autoglass have just told me they can’t source one.

Thanks.  How recently was that?   I’ve already had a screen fitted (badly) this year which was supplied by pilkington to Autoglass. It’s just this week that Autoglass say they can’t source another now (which may or may not be true).

I managed to get a couple recently,although I can’t remember the name of the actual company and I can’t find the receipt.

It was through a guy on one of the Facebook pages. I’ve messaged him to get the details.

Thanks both - that’s brilliant. I hate Facebook but I’ll get over that!  Just need to wait for Autoglass to confirm to my insurance that they can’t do it.
