craigowl 0 Posted August 28, 2004 August's "Car Mechanics" (page 28) has a paragraph or two about the catastrophic failure of the timing chain on one of these cars at just over 90k miles. dr_mat 0 Posted November 21, 2004 The work required is the same, exactly, between the two cars. The galaxy is little more than rebadged, it's basically a VW. Don't think anyone ever asked Ford how much the timing chain parts are for the VR6, so can't compare, but tbh the bulk of the bill is labour, the parts cost is pretty small.
