Gas mileage

Hey guys, i wanted to know what the gas mileage on the SLC i'm going away this weekend and i need to know. i know i can look it up while i'm driving but i i'm always up and down, this time i'll be driving about 200 miles none stop.

Take it properly steady (that doesn't mean doing a 'steady' 120MPH :lol:) , could quite possibly see 350-400 miles off a full tank of gas :)

 

Somewhere around 35MPG should be obtainable.

well i get approx 32-33mpg on long journeys at steady speeds of 80-ish mph

Yeah same here.... around 34mpg at steady 75mph

I've seen 34mpg, but only when cruising at 55mph.. Climb to 75 and the mpg drops to 31/32. Get to 90mph and it's down to 28!

Worth noting at this point that a US gallon isn't the same size as a UK gallon...

 

1 UK gallon = 4.54 liters; 1 US gallon = 3.78 liters

Yeah, but don't forget your gallons are smaller, so there's no way you're gonna get the same mpg as we do ;)

1 US Gallon = 1.20095 Imperial Gallons, so your 27 MPG translates to 32.43 MPG in the UK.

 

If you hit 30 MPG, you'd be getting the equivalent of over 36 MPG here.

the other day i was driving like a good boy and i hit the 30 mark for like 2 sec and it went back to 29 MPG with i think is pretty good :)

makes me cry..........I get just over 20 mpg. Sometimes as low as 19. HELP!!! heh. Problem will be solved next week.

17? Sheeesh, I only managed to get mine down to 15 when I was thrashing the utter nuts off her at Bruntingthorpe proving grounds!

 

There's something REALLY wrong there mate... All corrados should be able to get mid 20MPG figures unless they're modded to give 300BHP or something silly like that! :?
