mantaraman 0 Posted September 8, 2004 Anyone know a good wheel that looks retro (like a 8x15 BBS or something)? What do I need to know about correct offsets? I'd like something that will fill the flaring on the arches, but in a 15" wheel with a deep dish. Anyone - new to the scene so forgive what is probably a 'basic' question.
Supercharged 2 Posted September 8, 2004 You could rebuild a set of BBS RM's with wider outer rims

chrishill 0 Posted September 8, 2004 IMO BBS wheels look a bit small in a 15", its the spokes! *braces for the backlash from that comment* if you're after a retro rim try Borbets or Azevs, both do some 'modern' rims and some really nice old school ones too. as for offets, i just bought a set of borbet c's in a 16" et35, I've been told a 5mm spacer should get them to fit nicely in the arches, I 'think' most people say et30 is the ideal. azev A's borbet A's 8)
W3RKD 0 Posted September 8, 2004 borbet a's are very very nice... need arch mods though. :?

Blair 0 Posted October 17, 2004 Mim Alpines are a great retro wheel... pic thumbnailed-vr6storm Not a great picture, but they're a classic retro wheel. Need 16" on a Corrado though i reckon...not sure they were ever made that big (they're not in production any more). There are always the ATS cups as well, they're pretty cool... billinjah 0 Posted November 7, 2004 yeah i think retro wheel suit the corrado better mines got azev as on but one is badly curbed dont know if its fixable might be cheaper to get new wheels any way those refurb places are so expensive! might go for the borbets in 16"
