Old skool wheels

Recommended Posts

Anyone know a good wheel that looks retro (like a 8x15 BBS or something)? What do I need to know about correct offsets? I'd like something that will fill the flaring on the arches, but in a 15" wheel with a deep dish. Anyone - new to the scene so forgive what is probably a 'basic' question.

IMO BBS wheels look a bit small in a 15", its the spokes! *braces for the backlash from that comment*

if you're after a retro rim try Borbets or Azevs, both do some 'modern' rims and some really nice old school ones too.

as for offets, i just bought a set of borbet c's in a 16" et35, I've been told a 5mm spacer should get them to fit nicely in the arches, I 'think' most people say et30 is the ideal.

Mim Alpines are a great retro wheel...

Not a great picture, but they're a classic retro wheel. Need 16" on a Corrado though i reckon...not sure they were ever made that big (they're not in production any more).

There are always the ATS cups as well, they're pretty cool...
