Storm 0 Posted September 29, 2004 Anyone know how to take the scratches of my CD player face. Its the clear stuff over the display as in the piccy.
Supercharged 2 Posted September 29, 2004 You need to get some fine glass polish - the sort or stuff jewellers use on watch faces.... T-cut may do it but might be a bit to abrasive....
Jim 2 Posted September 29, 2004 You could try looking for the stuff that they sell for repairing the delicate plastic on the Apple iPods - its supposed to to a great job of repairing scratched plastic casing and displays. One very popular product I know of that does this is called Ice Cream (no, really) - search for that on Google along with iPod and I am sure it'll turn up some relevant links :)
kangaroo 0 Posted September 29, 2004 My grandmother once told me that toothpaste was good at removing sratches from watch-faces; after all, its mildly abrasive for your teeth, so why not glass? One day I gave it a go... Needless to say it didn't work, but my watch did smell minty-fresh for several weeks.

Banana Man 0 Posted September 29, 2004 autosol might be a bit abrasive for plastic. This link will be your best bet http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/3298.htm if it works on mobile phones it'll work on radio faces :D
Gman 0 Posted September 29, 2004 Brasso will buff out light scratches, it works on CD's at least... It has always worked for me. It is great stuff. A mate of mine had an Ipod that was very very scratched. he brasso'ed it and it looked like new.
Storm 0 Posted September 29, 2004 Cheers fella's I think the trick is to try it on a trial bit of plastic first. That way theres no crying over screwing it up.
