Recommended Posts

Is this a problem i should worry about.

even when the heat dial is turned to cold....it doesnt really blow cold..it still feels kind warm...

i know if the matrix is going / gone then it doesnt get hot...but is this another symptom?

cheers

You need air con? ;)

I would imagine it's because the ducting is coming through your rather warm engine bay that is heating the air up, but I've got no idea where the intake is.

the intake is on the left hand side of the bonnet...right at the top where it meets the screen...

oh and i have got A/C...just need to fix it and get it working

just wondered if it was anything i needed to be concerned about

If slightly warm air in the cabin is the worst of your problems then you've got a very healthy C

If the air is warm when set to cold, the temperature flap isn't closing fully.....and the 'cold' air is only as cold as the air it draws in from the scuttle area.

The temp flap basically just opens to allow warm in from the matrix, or blocks it completely to allow cold air in. The flap sometimes doesn't close fully and will need resetting. Which entails lots of contortionist action and swearing.....

Not so much the cables, but the position of the flap's actuator arm in relation to the dial position. Easier to show you on the car than it is to explain!

So you weren't bidding on various steering components? I stand corrected.

As for the cables, you may find that "adjusting" the position of the levers on the air distribution housing sorts your problem.
