Ice White Socks 0 Posted September 30, 2004 Hi Am finally getting round to the bolster replacement next weekend, and will be replacing a duff heated seat element at the same time. Is it worth changing the bottom pad as well i.e the one you sit on. Are there any suprises when you come to do the replacement; lastly does anyone know how much they cost? Cheers
dinkus 10 Posted September 30, 2004 Have you had a look at this to see if you can fix the heater element instead? - http://the-corrado.net/how-to/index.php ... tails&id=
Ice White Socks 0 Posted September 30, 2004 Its a good guide but I have already had the seat in pieces- theres no obvious burning- its a clean broken wire- I can switch the relay on and off by pressing at acertain point on the seat base :? . Neither element is working at the moment so am going to buy a new one- fix the old one when I have time/ patience; swap that with the passenger side one, then fix that and flog it on ebay. Assuming they are identical? Cheers for the thought tho 8)
dinkus 10 Posted September 30, 2004 I've no idea, I haven't got toasty bum controls... It was worth a shot tho :)
vr6storm 0 Posted September 30, 2004 IIRC the heated seat pads cost approx £50ea+vat
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 30, 2004 I would get any interior parts you need ASAP as VW are making a lot of Corrado interior parts obsolete at the moment. In fact, I think a stickied thread in Servicing is required to warn people of parts that are now obsolete?
