  1. rubbish tiny picture !! Not sure if you can click and enlarge it but you can just see the trickle of water actually above where that wires pokes out, then you can see where its dripping onto the dash and doorcard. At least you could if the pic wasn't the size of a flippin postage stamp.
  2. So, every once in a while i get a wet passenger footwell, not heater matrix because its definately water and not coolant (i taste tested it :gag:) , i've changed the foliage seal and cleared out the millions of leaves hiding in the scuttle, so i thought it must be a door seal or door membrane. Then it started hammering down with rain whilst i was at work so i hopped in the car to see if i could see owt and nothing because i was staring at the floor, then i noticed a drop of watr land on top of the speaker pod !! Its like its coming in at the top of the door and running down the inside of the a pillar trim, then where theres a stray alarm wire popping out of the trim the water comes out of there and drops down into the footwell area. Is that door seal or possibly blocked sunroof drain ? If its a blocked sunroof drain is there a way to clear that with a sunroof that only tilts ?
  3. Is this bad ?? Just a nice leisurely drive and the oil temp got that high ? Water temp looks ok, the fans were on but i wasnt expecting to see 100 plus on the oil temp ?

  10. Roadkill is a program thats part of the motortrend youtube channel which has a few other good shows but roadkill is my fave, the 2 presenters are cool and really knowledgable but they do stuff like go to a junkyard in texas get a car, fix it up a bit, drive it a few thousand miles to a drag strip, do a run and ebay it. They did one where they got an old dodge charger and put a v8 in it from a motor home and go all dukes of hazzard on it !!
  11. Best one ive watched for a while is Roadkill. I think theres about 25 episodes, be warned though, once you've watched the muscle truck episode you WILL want a pick up with a v8.
  12. Hi everybody, I'm after a few bits for my VR, had a problem on my first drive out with a tiny split in one of the coolant hoses, when I fixed it I noticed that most of the coolant hoses are getting a bit aged/perished. I cant afford a set of Samco hoses or similar at £200-plus as my car has just bled me dry getting it though its MOT, but I cant enjoy driving it at the minute for fear of another hose malfunction when I'm too far from home. So my plan is to get some good used hoses and keep them in the car for now and if i do have a malfunction i can whip out my replacement hose (snigger):camp: and do a quick swap over. Just gives me piece of mind. Or do I get a cheap "winner racing" chinese set and keep my old ones in the boot  Anyway, let me know what you have and how much. I also need a PCV valve as i noticed mines split (I know i can get the Galaxy/Sharran version just wanted to see if i could get a decent used one for decent price) Thanks Sam
  13. I cannot believe the flippin difference !!
  14. Need to give another shout out to the guys at The Tyre Company in the bermuda park industrial estate in nuneaton, one of the guys even lay on the floor while i drove up the ramp to help my splitter on its way !! Good bunch of lads !!
  15. Car is now fully aligned and the quick blast home was . . . . . AMAAZING !!!!!!
  16. Just wanted to give a massive thanks to Greg at Midland Motorsport in Nuneaton - 02476 351451 - he's been great with me faffing around and helped me out big time, and wasnt phased at all when i turned up with a car billowing steam across his unit, he has a ramp thats sunk into the ground so lowered cars are a walk in the park and you can see from the beetle that he was working on hes used to looking after some quality classic cars. Gave mine a quick much needed clean today after i got back from weston park, very good show that i havent been to before, getting an alignment tomorrow then im going to drive it. Lots. And lots !!
  17. So. Car now has full mot and fresh tax and many many new parts including - chains, tensioners, clutch, inner and outer cv gaiters, steering rack gaiters, inner and outer track rods, ball joints, coilovers, drop links, full service, all new brake system, hard lines and all flexis changed to braided hoses, new slide pins and boots, piston seals and boots, new fluids. And many other bits i probably cant remember Seriously seriously chuffed !! Car drives like a dream, just needs an alignment and its all done. Happy days
