As I run a Retro VW Facebook page and head to most shows, I've already had serious interest from numerous people in regards to the car. Thanks for your interest and once I get home from my holidays I will decide what I'm doing. Cheers

I think I am selling this soon as I am going to play with the R32 instead. Corrado is pretty much sorted now anyway, so there's nothing to do to it apart from enjoy. I am always compulsive and as I don't need to sell for any reason it's a win win situation. Just editing this post as I'm still undecided in what to do, I'm always like this with my motors :bonk:

I'm 50/50 at best to head down, I've bought and paid for the camping but I'm on holiday up in the North of Scotland til Saturday and don't fancy cutting the holiday short ?? -
Get them dug out and powder coated, I bought that set from Poland and it's the only ones I've seen in a year. Still got them to get put on when I get a chance.

Here is a set of refurb front shields as part of a refurbed front set up but not cheap. It's where I got my front shields from. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262552152143

Guys I'm having a brekkie meet at Western VW at Newbridge on Sun 18th Sept from 1000-1200, I was invited by Western to bring along my Retro VW Facebook club. They are supplying tea/coffee and bacon rolls as well as a technician and parts guy for any questions.

They are just VW Golf mk4 Santa Monica's but only in 5 x 100.

Prob be going this month but just got a mk4 R32 so might pop thru in that ??
-
Cheers It's in brilliant condition and a great car. There's not many mint cars for sale especially up here.

£295 is bad enough considering I will only do a couple of thousand miles s year.
-
£295 a year

I told myself that I would stick to one toy after having 2 mk1 Golfs for a while and a year later the garages are full again :bonk: Should I have bought it, no but I did and it will stop me spending needless money and time on my already very tidy VR.
-
The Golf needs a wee bit tlc but it was an exceptional price
-
Only driven the R32 home from buying it and it seems like a bit of a raw beast whereas I treat the VR with more respect :thumbleft:
-
Just bought a 90k mile R32, so it will stop me spending silly money on the VR. Dont know what to do with my 3 cars though  Wife is not overjoyed

Cheers for that. I have decided to leave it for the mo, I'm checking the underside this winter and I'm going to wire brush and paint all the usual underside parts.
-
Thanks for that. I'm thinking along the same lines tbh, put the money away to do nice things and get round to the engine, which is spot on, sometime !!
-
I've started putting money away for the last of the brake works and rear axle bushes for next mot time. Got all the parts so just friendly garage labour.

Its £15 do might buy it anyways. It's a hard choice to make to get the chains done or not as they are absolutely fine !!
