I'll take it, can also collect as I'm local.

Would be interesting to know if it was the heater or signal circuit affected on the O2 sensor, if it's not functioning the ECM will not go into closed loop. Bear in mind there are other reasons such as leaking fuel injectors, high fuel pressure and burning oil that will raise the HC content of the exhaust.

The only downside to ECP is the soul destroying wait in the queue while people in front return parts. VRS wheel speed sensors can vary even though they are a simple enough technology, sensor gap between reluctor ring and the tip of the sensor can cause issues if not seated correctly or the dimensions differ.

Try a cylinder drop test. You'll need a incandescent test light connected to ground. Start the engine and then remove one plug wire at a time, ensuring the test light is held closest to the exposed plug wire. The spark from the plug wire will ground through the test light. When you remove the plug wire from a good cylinder the rpm will drop and engine idle will deteriorate. When yo get to the cylinder with the constant misfire removing the plug wire will have no effect on rpm or idle. Focus on that cylinder. That's the easy way to test without diagnostic equipment.

Do the symptoms ever occur when cold or when left standing overnight? It would be beneficial to determine if this is a single or multiple cylinder misfire, heat soak into a ignition coil can result in a coil winding that fails under load but will ohm out perfectly when tested with a DMM. A coil fault would affect multiple cylinders as would rotor arm and coil lead. There's the possibility a DTC has been stored for the misfire event but a secondary ignition waveform and primary coil current ramp would help pinpoint the root cause.

Hi all, have been considering buying a Corrado for a while now, and having seen a very nice example on display at a local classic car meet I think it's about time  So I'm on the lookout for a VR6. In preparation I've already ordered the official factory repair manual and the VCDS (VAG-COM) HEX-USB+CAN Power Bundle from Gendan.
