    corrado vr6

Hi im after a corrado vr6 not too bothered about colour as long as it metallic and fairly good condition but the idea is to respray eventually. Not too fussed about mileage If it has had engine work chains/clutch/headgasket done or if not around the upto 110k. I really want to buy a well kept and loved car that i can keep for life budget is pretty open upto 4k if it has some forum threads on work carried out. Many thanks
  4. Thats not a bad idea, i thought i found my perfect one at work left a note on his window got a message saying it could be for sale. In my budget but there seems to be multiple oil leaks and kicking out some vapor on idle after being driven for 1.5hrs. Would this be normal in a vr6 with a straight through system mapped for optimax?
  5. To be searching for a corrado to buy checking the forum every 30 mins looking for another advert to go up only for it to be a random part incorrectly placed in the cars for sale section...which has now happened 4 times
  6. Is it the same cable regardless of engine and box??
  7. Looking at a corrado 1996 vr6, the one i found and test drove was perfect for my needs but had the following flaws: throttle cable/pedal seems very stiff - can you still buy these or does anyone have one for sale? And oil leaks from a few places but mainly the PCV (i think back left as you look at the engine at the top) again can i buy these new or is it secondhand? Thanks in advance
  8. Not really, although the condition externally looks pretty good. Its always nice seeing a car before viewing if you know what i mean. If i go to view a car cash in hand im more likely to talk myself into buying it, that said i havent seen that many blackberries for sale around the south
  9. I will do that, i just like knowing if they are a forum member as they tend to post problems, items replaced, modifications etc allowing me to stalk the car!
  10. Bit of a long shot but does anyone on here know the owner of a blackberry vr6 on an N plate ending in PRG it is parked at RAF odiham, i drive past it every day and i basically want to know if the owner would consider selling it. I thought i would try on here first so i could see any threads that may be applicable. Many thanks
  11. Is it the one for sale in volkscars i have seen it advertised now on ebay for 2395 was thinking about looking at it but its a way to go do u know of anything wrong with it?
  12. it says he had them fitted to a golf vr6 with BMW PCD adapters so you will probably require them aswell ask him if he'll through them in for a sale
  13. have you seen this one on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/vw-corrado-16-V-1994-110-000-2-owners-SALE-NEEDED-/110707005620?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item19c6a6d8b4 it has electric cloth recaros.... and naff wheels
  14. oh no it doesnt look good for the email i sent then. And i hate talking to people on the phone as i always forget stuff
  15. cheers guys, i agree it might be a better idea to travel a bit further for a better car i was just thinking lazy. May be interested in the blackberry one
  16. Having just got back from seeing kipVR's storm r32 i have decided i need another corrado in my life...stat so after trawling tinterweb the only one within 100 miles is this one http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201105378815906/sort/priceasc/usedcars/model/corrado/make/volkswagen/quicksearch/true/page/2/radius/1500/postcode/sp46lh?logcode=p (other than cazzavr's which is sold) it seems extortionately priced unless it is immaculate but has anyone on here seen or owned it. Or on a side note my old vr6 is for sale on autotrader for 1499 do i buy that back even though it looks like a right dog now??
  17. id love to have a look only if it alright with you that is, especially as you are quite literally just down the road. Do you go down the porton hotel much?
  18. used to live in pauls dene off castle road but have since moved to the sticks of east gomeldon, i seem to remember seeing a supercharged vr6 around salisbury some time ago that wasnt anything to do with you was it? where abouts are you
  19. i have just spent the last 1.5hrs reading this thread and dont think i could've done anything more productive with my time...it looks amazing and now i really want another corrado, what i dont understand is i've lived in salisbury for 10 years and dont think ive ever seen your car around
  20. blackberry on autotrader with 83000 miles on it, leather rest is pretty standard for 3300 ono if i had a set of nuts id buy it but unfortunately theyre attached to a house and a trophy girlfriend :(
  21. he sounded a bit dejected when i spoke that he put it for sale so cheap after the amount of interest it generated i think it was a part ex valuation
  22. i rang up 25 mins after it was posted, he had alread had 7 phone calls and a viewing aranged for 10 mins from when i called some early bird caught a worm wasnt me though :(
  23. its 240bhp ish but is an agu engine code so apparently good for the power standard k03s turbo. The z4 is actually a really good car although mine is a daily as it is just me and my gf but it is not practical if. if you are over 6ft it may be a struggle to fit in the bonnet is huge but the cabin is not, although the coupe may be different. Mine is the 2.5 conv pretty quick but i should have got the 3.0 very hard ride as i broke a suspension coil ( which is common ) so lowered it and has run flat tyres so it chips teeth to say the least but other than that i have had no problems touch wood in 12000 miles driving
  24. hello i used to own a corrado vr6 but unfortunately decided to sell and with it sold a piece of my heart :( i have ever since wanted another corrado but never had the nuts to buy. Here is my problem i have been offered a car built by my friend http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1346266.htm at a discounted price i currently drive a z4 which would have to get rid of to fund this and a second car as a daily are the 1.8t conversions reliable i think this has a standard 2.0 16v gearbox is this strong enough or would it need replacing he said it torque steers alot so im guessing a diff is required but which one is this a good buy or an endless money pit? many thanks
