Yeah I realised after ide posted that , I looked at your car and read some of the spec other day when i was browsing the gallery , very nice car indeed some top pics aswell , i definatley think less is more when it comes to asthetics and the more going on under the bonnet the better .

Poly-Bushes m8 I found a place that sells them http://www.polyurethanebushes.com/index ... th/140_143 , Just wondered if anyone knew any other places preferably cheaper . whats 8v rado like taking off and at low revs junkie , If i get revs up to 4000 and keep it up above its a lot of fun and it seam like 3rd gear goes on forever .

Its only a 1.8 16v , but its had anything its neaded new rear disks , stub axles & wheels bearings , brand new steering rack , just put a newish engine in that had done 83,000 mine had 120,000 on and headgasket went when i leant it to a so called m8 never again... , new engine mounts new set of boge gas shox . Ive just broke engine in done about 1500 miles and its not loosing any oil and pulls like it should , i service it every couple of month give her an oil change new air filter oil filter etc .Ive just put a new grill on 3 slat and ime gunna get some new lights next and a set of poly-bushes ,anyone know best place for bushes & lights ?

I am just in the process or buying some suspension , I got a price for some Boge gas shox from GSF £27.50 each for the rear & £48.50 for the front plus vat . Does anyone here have Boge and what do they think of them & what other makes would anyone reccomend . I am also going to put on new Poly-bushes throughout anyone know best place to get them for and any ideas on prices etc ?

Looks well m8 always liked silver rados , ile get some pics up when i figure it out .......

Some interesting comments , I do rather like the debadged colour coded front grill with the silver vr badge , I cant imagine that every colour rado would get away with colour coded badges and grill I dont think a red or yellow rado would suit colour coded or even a silver one not too sure tho .Some poeple can go way to far with colour co-ordinating i know a guy wath a subaru racing green , green leather interior and anything that you could think of he has green calipers etc looks a rite cunt tbh . I guess its down to personal taste and as to weather or not to have 16v badge on ime kinda not sure i dont want to make it look like something its not if yah know what i mean .When i figure out how to get pics on here ile get a few of my rado on.

Front grill origional ,3 slated ,de-badged ,colour coded badge ? what you guys think is best .At the moment i have old grill and black badges & colour coded corrado sign .I am going to get a 3 slated grill with crome badge and same on rear crome corrado badge and vw sign with red 16v badges front and rear .

Have you managed to have a good look at the arms either side that do the work , they have bits on em made out of monkey metal . Check both and make sure there is no obvious differences & also that there isnt anything stuck in channels . I hade the same problem and i removed a full sunroof out of another rado that i use for spares . Switched em round and tinkered with it for hours greesing it workin and aligning it opens and tilts and closes mint but as much as i tied couldnt get it to slide .

Yeah your rite about differnces with indicators ,ile keep digging it will be worth it to see the milage go over 100000 again ......

Yeah i think that sounds rite m8 , but there wasnt any other way to connect them apart from the way i did it electric feed in and mfa vacum pipe only way i could show you is by uploading pics of both clock if you want me to do that let us know plz

I have recently changed my engine , I have a J reg 16v rado which had 125000 on the clock before I mistakenly leant It to a freind who ended up cooking the engine , rather than mess about changing the head and then having the bottem end go I thought it would be better to change the full monty. So I waited a whie scouring papers and ebay offcourse and eventualy I ended up buying a rado wich had done 85000 .The car was a none runner so it was a bit of gamble I decided to take a risk and go ahead I took the clutch and gearbox off my origional car knowing they were in good working order and fitted them on the donor engine . Anyway to get back to the question I tried to switch clocks but found a few differences on them on on the J reg the milage is digital and indicater lights are in a different place and also the breather pipe conector is metal on the donor car which is a G reg the mileage is on a counter and the breather pipe conector is plastic , so i switched them anyway and the only thing that seamed to work was the rev counter the mph needle didnt move and the milage didnt go up I ended up putting the origional clocks back in, So anyone had a similar problem or have any ideas . I also have loads of bits n bobs aswell as a decent shell as the car came with two complete interiors including dashboard etc also have a set of 5 pirreli P if anyone fancies them .

Hello was just wondering were abouts the fuse box is , the problem ime having is with the headlights they work on dipped beam but full beam doesnt work . Ive tried taking headlight switch out and cleaning points as well as a bit of wd40 but no joy . I was wondering if the switch istelf was faulty as full beam works when you flash on indercator stalk . Have any of you guys had same or similar problems and if so any advice . thx a lot for any reply

Hello i was just wondering if anyone could tell me the specific type of power sterring fluid i need to use .I have a 1.8 16v corrado on a j reg , I tried at halfords and they didnt have a clue and i dont have a manual yet so ime unsure what type to use .This is my first car so i need all the help and advice i can get .
