  1. ...was I the only insensitive person who's immediate thought was "...OOOOO!!!!!! Cheap Bankrupcy wheels!!!" :?

    i thought this too.... :) :)

but then i thought,,, buy up BBS wheels as they will become rare and sought after soon and people will pay well over the odds for em... espcially the ebay folks... :-P

  2. go for it... by all accounts VR's are the beast to have... if you don't do it now, you'll only regret it... and probs want one sooner rather than later anyway..

Is she wanting top whack for it? or is it a good price? if its top wack then take a scan around at others.. Tidy valvers seem to fly out of the autotrader anyway so i'm sure you wont have a problem shifting it! ;)

  3. if he wants it i'd tell him to pay for it.... and if it was your grandads then you and he shouldnt have anything to worry about anyway.... tell him about the £10 site etc..... he's just trying it on...

  4. it's gotta be the mk4 r32... it looks the best and if you hunt around it bet you could find a bargan one.... closer to £10k than £15k i'd say!!!!

mk5 golf looks sh!t and the r32 looks even worse... i think it looks like a plasticy toy car!! but thats my opinion...

look at the mid to bottom of the page in this link: they're cheaper than i thought

    clicky

  5. i've had a mk4 golf 1.6 se and it was a great car, it had 75k on it when i bought it and 97k when i sold it in that time it was serviced twice and i had nothing break on it at all..... i would highly recommend them as they are very welll built cars that still look cool, they look better than the piece of turd called a mk5 golf! And just as a rough ball park, i sold it for £3300 in the summer with tt alloys and stuff on it... (just so you know rough values, although i think that was top whack i got)

  6. Um... any suggestions as to how to enforce the law then ?

Perhaps the road rozzas should shout really loudly at offenders

Best bit of news today. (Other than hearing that Blair will resign if his aid is charged )

i think that they should enforce it offering subsidised proper hands free kits that are wired into your stereo, i used to mave one in my mk4 golf and it was great, but havent been bothered to get another as they are £150!!!

Its all take take take with the police and they never give anything back or cut drivers a good deal on safety products (such as handsfree)!

I personally think that windscreen mounted sat navs are more dangerous as they can obscure a drivers line of vision and are very bright! but thas just me!

  7. Cheers guys, i saw them on the bay of e and they didnt sell so rang them up, turned out they were old stock from the showroom (but in mint condition) and they just needed the space! So i didnt think twice just bought them, havent told the mrs yet! so i hope she likes them, i have earmarked them as an early birth day present  (i'm so romantic!)

  8. was looking at my gf's polo the other day and saw the two fornt tyres were shot, so checked the price £70 for two.. not bad! but i checked ebay for some alloys to replace the nasty 13" ones.... then stumbled across the following

Bought some brand new 15" Team Dynamics alloys for my gf's polo today..... 4 x brand spanker Toyo proxes. and 4 x alloys!!! how much do you reckon...

    Clicky for picture

They look better in real life than in the photo...

£100 inc vat.... balanced and fitted with a full set of locking nuts and spigot rings....

Bargain of the century in my opinion.....

    what do you guys think.....
