Hi, can I get second shout on 288s - thanks
-
Hi mate, if you pm me payment details I fire £20 over to you, Regards, James

The silver one was my old car back in 2003, I had the 20v conversion done think I was one of the first in this country to do italong with a Seat Leon 6 speed box. Sold it on to Steve Denton at Premier a couple of years later. Regret selling that car but hey ho
was saving up for a house at the time so needs must.
Great job - car is amazing
I wonder how many people regret selling a Corrado at some point, I do. Back in '08, I sold a Classic Green, black leather Recaro interior, engine sorted by Stealth, BBS splits, etc etc - also to raise a deposit :-(
In saying that, fairly happy with current VR.
-
Met Patrick at Brands Hatch on CCGB National Day, really nice guy with lovely looking Corrado, which got loads of admiring looks. Seeing less and less modified Corrado nowadays, so nice to see a car of that quality.

No I haven't got Oct 2017 issue,is there anything good in it ?
I think I've only got the August 2017 issue at the moment.
I used to have a massive pile of these Performance VW mags going back to the late 1990s, sadly they've all gone now been chucked into the recycling bin.
There were some really nice Corrados & Golfs in them over the years.
I remember reading about a MK3 Golf VR6 with Porsche wheels, looked really good.
Also a MK2 Scirocco that the owner had removed the front bumper, headlights and fabricated the front wings slightly, as replaced them with Corrado front headlights & bumper, it did look alright in a strange way, but the wings were so wide
Plus there was a bronze/silver Corrado 2.0 20v, that was decked with 16" split rims,
everything in the engine bay was pretty much chromed / polished, retrimed leather interior, also had the sunroof I think smoothed over, and the same with the front bumber.
Si
Lol - I did exactly the same and regret it. I recently bought a pile PVW mags on eBay for not much, in fact the postage was the most expensive bit. It was great re-reading some of the articles, with my favourite probably being the bonkers TVR interior inserted into a Corrado :-)

Thanks guys can't see the pictures for some reason James?Sent from my SM-G357FZ using Tapatalk
Hi mate,
The pictures were uploaded as attachments using 'go advanced', which I can see if I use my laptop, but can't see or open if viewed via iPad or phone? Must be something to do with iOS?
How did you embed the photos into the original message? I can see them on my iPad.
-
Fortunately they reprinted it as the original books were selling for about £100 on eBay at one point. Amazon are showing 4 left in stock - well worth £25

Subject to seeing photo, can I be next in line. Thanks, James

Hi mate,
Just checked, yes the brochure was released at the same time as a press pack - see photo of info sheet in German.
If you look inside the back cover of the brochure you've got, at the bottom right, it also states September 1989.
The full press pack contained various Karmann leaflets, photos and a set of postcards - Corrado, Golf Cab, Scirocco, and Escort Cab. I've included some of the photos which featured the Corrado.
Anybody who loves the Corrado and doesn't have a copy of Das Grosse Buch Corrado - seriously buy a copy, amazing (even if it's in German).
Regards,
James

I have that brochure and think I might have some paperwork that came with it, I'll have a look and come back to you. For info there are a couple of other similar Karmann brochures, info sheets, postcards etc

I second that, my C is lowered about 35-40mm and combined with the 90mm splitter looked awesome but scraped every time I took it off my driveway. I bought a new 50mm splitter (and air guides) from Heritage, which has made a big a difference with regards clearance. I've kept the 90mm for shows.

I think your Corrado looks great. Having spent ages looking, about 4 months ago I bought a remarkably similar K reg VR6, red, cloth interior, well looked after and zero rust for a little less, however yours has a decent looking leather interior combined with great body colour, so I'd be amazed if you don't get near your current asking price. Good luck with sale - hope it goes to a good home

Some more eBay madness, £50 for a tiny pin badge (and £2 P&P!!)
I had various pin badges and key rings (photo below is just some of them) that I flogged on eBay years ago - based on the above prices, if I'd kept them I could have retired...

Another vote for ACF50 here, after all a product developed to inhibit corrosion in aeroplanes must be half decent???Firstly, good luck with the 205 - great car.
Just had a look for ACF50, there seems to be a few different products, sprays and brush on of varying sizes.
* Can anyone tell me what ACF50 product works best?
* Where on the car they are using it (and not using it)?
* Where is the cheapest place to buy it?
Thanks, James

VW Heritage still have the Corrado script badges. They also have one G60 grill badge - not what you are looking for, but worth grabbing a spare?

Hope that helps and good luck finding the rest.

Post 88 - now seen. Fair one, you got there first. I'm just surprised it's not been snapped up...
-
Whilst not broken, this must be a contender for the most insane eBay advert - £1500 for a Storm brochure!!!
-
If you have another one or Caz changes mind can you let me know. Regards, James
-
SOLD - Jim, I'll send tomorrow.
-
Jim, great, I'll pm you.
-
38 - recently rejoined the highs and lows of Corrado ownership for the 3rd time.
At least this time I don't need to rely on my Corrado to get me to work - full on weekend toy to be pampered and polished!
-
Jim,
Top man, thank you.
Regards, James

A one off... bugger!
Just think, he could have bought a fleet of Corrados and probably all the remaining spares in existence from Classic Parts!
