actuly...these are diff resistors to what i used. not sure if solderin is required or not :confused4: should work though :scratch:
-
as said here - viewtopic.php?f=3&t=81947&hilit=all+red+rears
get the LED's - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/36-LED-amber-indi ... 1|294%3A30
and the resistors - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2pcs-6-O ... ccessories
they work :) well... they did for my bro. requires some soldering though

Rear arches are bad because there is no inner arch covering unlike the fronts. Run your fingers along the inside and should be caked in mud. Causes rust :( Again that might be total crap but it is covered in mud! :)

Gearbox selector shaft seal is common for leaking.I herd this was because the shaft gets scratched and pulls oil out every time you change gear. In metros you can put a second seal in but in the MK4's there's no space. Dont no how much truth there is to that as my old mechanic who told me didnt put my wheel on properly and it fell off mid drive :eek:
-
Make sure you keep the throttle body nice an clean. mMine kept cloggin up and stalling. Mine also leaked quite bad. Carpets were soaked. Apart from that it was a cracking little car. Cheap to run and so easy to drive

at gpcvwaudi the prices are wrong. just swap the prices for the 50mm and 90mm.
50mm = £30
90mm = £60

no the pin in the pic ^^. it falls out of the hinge. only way i can see is to push it in and bend it a little the other side to keep it in the hole. will be difficult/impossible given the space thats there
-
what would be there best way to keep the pin in the whole. came out again :bad-words:
-
Should have come on here first. Tricks of the trade :wink:
-
Heres a new one (well to me anyway)
My drivers door stopped locking so i automatically thought pump :roll: but all other doors/boots were working. Just took the door off and found this little plate thingy and the pin coming from the door lock nowhere near it. just jabbed at it a while with a trusty old phillips and got it back in the whole :)
o and p.s.
Ive always wondered why the black circle trim around the door pin is always cracked. Well i found out today. That pin will not go in the whole!! :censored:
