It has a multichanger Rick, It was an optional extra I believe, the bloke I bought it off had rang VW in 2002 for the extra's list and it is listed on there. It's a Sony casette and 10 disc CD multichanger. I will check it though, the car could be a fraud! :confused4:

    My Storm

Hi, I have finally got round to putting some photo's up of my Corrado. I gave it a rub down today and thought I may aswell get them put on now. It's a 1995 Corrado that I purcahased about 2 monthhs ago, it has a full service history and a wallet full of receipts (all parts from VW) etc. It even came with a tracker (all registered) and 2 brand new wheels (with a receipt from VW for £380) aswell as 2 refurbed wheels. I am only the third owner, after purchasing the car off an Engineer from work who had owned it since 2001! The car has been looked after with no expense spared but unfortunately the body work has taken a bit of stick with constant journeys down the motorway (as the photo's show) so I have booked the car in for a full respray. Here are the pictures! And i know the bumper is not on properly, it's because I replaced the Radiator and every screw on the thing fell off, I have the new screws from VW but I am going to wait until it's in the bodyshop as I cannot be bothered changing them! :gag:
  5. My new desktop wallpaper (no more needs to be said)
  6. She looks nice, i can see where youre coming from about finding things you want to replace, i want to replace all the rusty screws. . . every single one of them! It's my mission.
  7. Top stuff, any chance of a few more photos with the new wheels on at some point?
  8. Ha i'm glad others have had that problem too! Replaced a load of screws etc. Been a nightmare, still got a few more to do, had the saw on a couple on the arch liners, any i came across that were slightly corroded i have tried to replace. Thats why i have done a few on the arch liners, it was just annoying me knowing the hassle it would be if (or when) i need the liners out. So i thought why it was all in bits and i had the energy to do the ones that i could!
  9. I love this car! Especially them wheels, it looks a million times better with them babies on. I have actually really enjoyed reading through your work, top job.
  10. I love this car, and i'm liking the new wheels. There seems to be a lot of the replicas on ebay and the price difference between the replicas and the genuine ones is unbelievable. Is there actually much difference? I love the seats too, i wouldn't mine a pair in mine!
  11. My radiator is here so i will be cracking on this job tomorrow. Any tips before i start? It would maybe be a good idea for the forum that when someone is doing a job like this (if they have time to) maybe to make a step by step guide with some photo's etc?
  12. I am going to have to go through this now. The radiator has sprung another leak so i am picking up the new radiator tomorrow hopefully. Might be doing it in the dark though. Would you say its a pretty straight forward job? It looks pretty straight forward, where exactly did you drain the coolant from? Cheers. :cuckoo:
  13. That looks like the the drawing in my workshop manual, is that what its out of? I have ordered the new elbow and stuff, should be in stock by Wednesday! Then i will get the radiator ordered since its bodged temporarily. All the drawings and stuff will be great help, cheers everyone

Yeah i will try him Steve, see what price he gives me, good thinking! I need your advice on the best to get the bodywork sorted too. I want to make a decision on that over the next week or so, maybe you could have a good look over her with me? And i think the leak occured on the way back from the Metro Centre on the Saturday after i got her, nightmare! Highline crack on the elbow too which we spotted today, its soo difficult to suss out little dinky problems like this. :gag:
  15. I will check that. I have bodged the radiator temporarily but now there appears to be a hairline fracture to the elbow. There is still a lot of steam coming from that area when the car is running hot, do you think that it could just be the remainder of the leaked coolant? I will get some more photographs or something up when i get chance, and get a new elbow ordered and fitted. Cheers :confused4: :gag:
  16. Thats great help everyone. I will do it this weekend if i can get hold of a radiator! Do you think its worth replacing bolts etc as i put the slam panel etc back together?

The radiator is nacked on it Steve! I'm going to have to get a new one bought this weekend and fitted. Any recommendations on where to get one from? I might just go to VW and see if they can get me one asap. :luvlove:

    Respray???

I am considering getting a full respray on my Corrado. The bodywork is generally not too bad but the imperfections seriously frustrate me. There is little bits of rust on the front arches and a really bad piece under the badges on the tailgate (which needs some attention asap). Apart from that and the usual parking dings and stone chips the body work scrubs up quite well but i would still prefer it to be mint. The interior is in very good condition too so it makes the exterior seem so much worse! I was just curious as to rough prices and recommended paint shops in my area. Any help or advice would be welcomed. :confused4: :)
  21. It was the radiator after all. Looks like it has been bodged previous. Its only a pin hole leak but i think i will purcahse a new one rather than get it repaired again. I'm guessing its a pretty straight forward job? I have have a look in the workshop manual, bumper off, lights off? And thanks to everyone for your help 8)
