  1. Well I think an R32 corrado would be amazing. Having seen the R32 golf at the motorshow, I can safely say it was VERY nice but just the wrong shape!!
  2. I want bigger brakes on my C. Obviously its only worth increasing size on front, or so I hear. Is it possible to just get new carriers for existing calipers to run 280s? If so where/how much? I would of course go for drilled disks. Does anyone have experience of this?
  3. Doubt it, I work in a bike shop and so do most of my mates.
  4. Has anyone had or have any experience of after market turbo kits for 1.8 16V Cs. I'm toying with the idea, but am struggling to find anyone who can do it. Also therefore have no idea what it would cost. What are the realistic advantages/disadvantages?

    I have konis with 40mm drop and stiffness adjustment. They seem great, tho of course a little harsh over the bumpy stuff. But I must admit I have no experience of anything else and so no frame of reference!
  7. Do you mean one of those £30ish k&n type panel filters? Perforance/sound improvement?
  8. Bought a 1.8 16V with exactly the same problem. Does the roof try to move, with the back dropping down, but then stopping witha clunk? If so. U can fix it quite easily. There are two silver rockers, one on each side, on one end of the rockers there are rubber bumpers. These bumpers wear out. I cut out bits on bike innertube - made holes in the centre of each bit and pushed them over the end of the rockers. This has the effect of stopping the rockers from springing so far when the roof is in the forward position. Let me know how it goes.
  9. I'm 99% sure thet they're K-jet. Thats bad isnt it.
  10. My 1990 1.8 16V doesn't like starting. Only had it since late march so it could be the increasing wet and cold combined with street parking. Starter turns fine, occasionally starts immediately. When it does eventually start, it does so the moment I turn the key. Very occasionally as the starter is turning, the engine goes clunk and everything stops unitll I release the key and try again! Turning the alarm (Cat 1 Sigma) on and off again sometimes helps. Also very occasionally I can turn the key fully and nothing happens at all. Wierd hey. I've recently replaced the coil lead with a cool orange one from halfords (£2.50ish), as I was advised that this might help - it didn't. Still think it is electrical tho. Ideas?
  11. There are little wheel like adjusterson the back of the head lamp units under the bonnet they seem to move the beam up or down. They are a little hard to reach; I seem to remember them being towards the middle of the car and in under the bonnet sill.
  12. I have a remus back box, don't know how much it was, got the car with it fitted. Sounds amazing, tho not to loud, looks super cool to. http://www.remus.at/ Is it now poss to get rest of system stainless? How much would it be? Remus only make the back box!
  13. I have uprated bulbs on my 1.8 16V, I think they are 90/110w bulbs and I've never noticed "switch heat"! Don't know if this means anything, or I'm just being unobservant.
  14. Has anyone ever tried to put an induction kit onto a 1.8 16V? I hear it can't be done. Will a performance filter make any noticable difference to performance or sound?
