Yea, I'm a friend of Jenk's. I actually posted on behalf of a friend but he is Jenk's mate too and the crazy thing is we all drive Corrado VR6's!!! We must be mad

Hello,
I'm after some advice. I have early black leather in my VR6. I have been giving the oppurtunity to replace the black leather with cream, storm leather.
Few questions; is replacing the interior an easy job? Secondaly my early seats are heated, will the Storm leather be a straight swap heater connection wise.
Hope some of you can be of assistance.
My car is Aqua Blue Peal, you think cream interior will look better than the black?

I'd imagine something is wrong with the electrical connection or switch to the passenger door, as they're operated by the vacuum pump it would lock from the drivers door but is not triggering the pump itself. Both doors and the boot still open and lock when I use the key fob for the alarm I have so does that mean the vacuum pump is ok but perhaps an electrical connection to the passenger door handle is knackerd?

Hey all,
Just replaced my passengers door handle and changed the key barrel too.
My question is when I use the key in the passengers door should this activate the central locking and lock the drivers door and boot?
At the moment all it does is lock and open the passengers door however when I use my key in the drivers door it operates the central locking and locks both the passenger door and boot.
Thanks in advance

Just like buses, I got two in one day. First from a guy walking past the car when I was in traffic and a VW guy when I was in getting some parts was standing admiring it reminising on the one he had.

You are a legend Matt, done the Brasso trick and they are working fine :D

Hi, think I meet you and Judith at Tatton Park the other weekend. Could have spoke with you for ages but had a 5 hour journey to get back home and the judges were closing in! What was the outcome at Tatton Park did either of your cars win?
Your garage looks great! Wish I could have something like that but I need to concentrate on getting my Storm 100%
-
You gave the drivers switch a good cleaning I take it with some brasso.Matt
No I didn't think to do that.
Do I need to actually take the switch completely to bits to do that?

This is like the dream engine conversion!!!!!
Is it for a guy on the forum?

Hey again guys,
I seem to have a never ending stream of eletrical gremlins, this time my electric wing mirrors are playing up. For a while I thought they didn't work at all but after getting into the control switch on the drivers door it now seems that the passenger wing mirror works intermittently and thr drivers side not at all. With the drivers wing mirror not moving at all I suspect the actual motor in the wing mirror is at fault but as the other wing mirror works now and then could it be the switch as well?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thats a really nice colour, looks good on the new wheels as well and will only get better when you get the coilovers on
-
I have et 15 9j all round with 215 40 tyres and now have a decent drop on coilovers and i have no issues, the lower et you mention of those rims should only help with arch clearance as its closer to the standard VW et35 most rims areThanks, going to give them a trial fit I think. Have you had any arch work done?
-
Hey folks,
Got a good offer of some Schmidt TH Lines for my C. The fronts are 8" wide with an offset of ET24 and 195/45 tyres, rears are 8.5" wide with an offset of ET29 and 215/45 tyres.
I'm unsure about the wheels sitting akwardly in the arches. I used this website to do some quick calculations http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp but can't visualize the results.
Thanks

i imagine this type of stretch kills :lol:

gutted what a mess bad **** that ,good job you were not going to fast.
Yea it could've been alot worse, just lucky no-one was coming the other way or people were in the road
-
I just bought my 9s from rimstyle, they wouldnt put 205s on mne and said they didnt stock 205s either so they fitted 215 40sWOW! They look really good as well, what a head scrather!!!

Whats the damage like underneath? Is the sill bent to feck!?Im checking my wheel bolts first thing in the morning
To be honest the only damage done was what you can see really. The wing is knackered, think the bonnet is marked and so are the door and bumper, thats about it!!!!! Oh and the inside of the alloys is marked from where the brake disc was rolling around inside it
-
One of my irrational fears is one of my wheels falling off at speed! It was quite exciting actually!!!! Glad it wasn't my machine though!!!!
-
I'd like one if they're still available, can send you a cheque as I'm in no great rush
-
That sucks! :( Hope you (well, your mate) can get it straightened out!!He's actually part-exchanging it for a GTD Mk2!!!

I like it on the Keskins a bit more
Stunning paint work though and some very nice subtle exterior touches
