Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne Price: 3500.00 GBP Date added to Classifieds: 11th Jan 2012 Description: Hello, Sadly i am selling my VR6. I've owned the car since November 2009 and have ran it practically everyday since, however have only put 9,000 miles onto the clock. It currently has 139,714 miles, never caused me any problems and runs extremely smoothly. It has an MOT until 22/09/2012 (it also had a full service on the same date) and is taxed until 31/01/2012. I bought it via this forum from NeilVR6 who had a thread about the car, heres a link to it: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?37432-New-car-acquired!-Still-German-but-not-VW/page5 I'm having to sell it because i can't afford to pay for the insurance anymore, having recently gone back to uni after losing my job. As stated above, the engine is in really good condition and has had LOADS done to it. The paintwork is in very good condition without a spot of rust anywhere (bonnet, front wings and sills have been resprayed, photo's on the link above). There's a few little stone chips here and there and 2 scratches low down on the rear bumper (these were there when i bought the car). The full black heated leather interior is in extremely good condition with only very slight wear on the drivers bolster. All electrics work fine (windows, sunroof tilts and slides, spoiler raises automatically and manually) Firstly i'll list the major things that have been done to it by the 2 previous owners, i'll list the dates and miles where i can: -Drilled brake discs fitted which i believe to be zimmermann (19/06/2006 ) -Cobra 7928 alarm and immobiliser (14/06/2006 ) -Replace head gasket 99,489 miles (12/07/2006 ) -New timing chains 99,489 miles (12/07/2006 ) -New cltch kit 99.489 miles (12/07/2006 ) -KW V1's fitted (13/04/2007 ) -Full stainless steel Powerflow exhaust system -BMC CDA air induction -New hall sender (22/08/2008 ) -Lupo wipers fitted -HID lights fitted 125,894 miles (09/09/2008 ) -Steel pressed (UK legal) Reg plates Loads of work carried out by John Mitchell Racing on 4 different occasions: -Massive service including new oil for gear box amongst other things 124,150 miles (19/03/2008 ) -New heater matrix 124,151 miles (28/03/2008 ) -New Mass Air Flow sensor and VW HT ignition leads 128,745 miles (21/04/2009 ) -New drive belt, water pump 128,607 miles (03/03/2009 ) -Bonnet, front wings, sills and lower section of OS door re-sprayed (16/01/2009 ) -New air timp switch, rotor arm and fuel regulator (04/02/2009 ) Work carried out since i've owned it: -New ignition switch 131,359 miles (27/01/2010 ) -New battery 136,149 miles (14/01/2011 ) -New wheel bearing 138,917 miles (22/09/2011 ) -New breather pipe 139,326 miles (11/11/2011 ) As shown in the link about the car, it has a pretty good sound system: Alpine CDA 7873R Alpine MRD-M500 mono amp Alpine MRV-T420 stereo amp Genesis 6.5 inch Audiophile components Diamond Audio D310D2 sub Bad(ish) things: -I do not have the front panel/fascia for the CD player (Alpine 7873R) anymore. I hate to admit it, but i accidentally threw it out in August last year when i was moving house in a huge hurry and didn't realise until too late. I haven't looked into replacing it becasue i basically couldn't afford to, plus i like listening to the engine. -I'm currently not running the car with the HID bulbs. When it was MOT'd in september one of the HID bulbs was out, meaning a MOT failure, it was going to take a few days (and more money which i don't have) to replace that, so instead the garage put original bulbs back in to pass the MOT. Sorry for such a long post but i have tried to give as much information as possible. It has an insane amount of service history with it, covering every little seal and gasket put on it. I'm bound to have missed something obvious so don't hesitate to ring or message me with any questions/more photo's. £3500 ono No. 07968069103 Cheers, David

Hello, I've been a lurker for a long time on this forum. I actully bought a vr6 from NeilVR6 via this forum (which i'm now trying to sell). I understand you have to have at least 5 post to be able to post a classifieds add. I now have the heady number of 6 posts but it still won't let me post one though!!! Kepps on saying the connection was reset? Can anyone help?

I'm in Newcastle. If you're still after a VR6 then PM me. I have a VERY tidy one.

First time Corrado buyer - looking to purchase this weekend
MrBoydjangles replied to Aran's topic in Newbies Hangout
Not sure if you've bought one yet but i agree with VW_OwneR_85. I rushed in and biught one with rust. I regretted it. It was a nightmare to sell and the work was too expensive to pay for. Save up and get a one with good bodywork. -
Just realised what you meant by storm grey now i re-read your post. I thought you thought Storms came in grey. Stupid me. Anyway, yeah i've got a storm grey vr6 for sale.

I'm about to post a classified for a grey vr6. It's not a storm but has exactly the same spec (leather etc). Here's a link to a thread about the car from the previous owner (NeilVR6). http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?37432-New-car-acquired!-Still-German-but-not-VW/page5
