    Boot water leak

I second that! Some idiot had stuck my badges on with tape. The VW emblem was dripping but it was p1ssing in through the large Corrado badge. I took the whole lot off and cleaned it up and purchased 6 x 191 853 615A blind grommets from VW any £0.41 each. I pushed these into the holes and popped the badges back and would you believe it, no more leaks!
  3. Do a search on the corrado club Canada as there is a good pictorial write up on how to it. What you need to do is:- 1. Tilt the sunroof. 2. Looking from the outside you need release the sunroof trim. To do this you have to push the trim on either side forward from outside to release it. It will then drop and can be slid back out of the way. 3. From inside the car the 4 Torx screws can be removed and the panel lifted out.
  4. Perhaps I could record the sound of my Supercharger spinning up and sell that on Ebay!
  5. That is w*nk not even cheap either :epicfail:
  6. sorry, i'm going to update the first post tonight with more details when i get home. You'll need 2 rollers per door so 4 rollers per car each roller is £2.50 posted :D I will have 4 as well then :D
  7. I will have some. How many rollers needed per door/window?
  8. I think the drivers side goes direct to the fusebox. The passenger side is under the shelf/tray thing,in the loom. Does anyone have late door looms for sale??
  9. Can anyone confirm where the disconnection point is for the door loom? I am fitting late door cards to a 1992 G60 & would prefer to replace the loom rather than soldering on new plugs :D
  10. At last the new gearbox is in the car. Spent the morning installing the new gearbox and I am very pleased with results. The car drives much better with the power delivery on bends a whole lot better. I can get more power down on the road as well. Has anyone else fitted there's yet ? What are the results?

  14. This is not something I have ever tried before but my brother has re-built many VW boxes and he is doing the work  and sends me the pictures  We bought our bearings from a guy on Ebay we have used before http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/fasttrackbearings/ His kits comprise of all bearings (including diff) and seals required. If you check his listings for 02A boxes you will see all the bearings that he supplys. In fairness all of the bearings that were changed in this box looked to be in good order but I wanted everything overhauled while it was in pieces. I purchased a new speedo gear as well and a few other bolts and clips from VW. My Wavetrac only came with the ARP bolt kit as I had everything else. I would suggest you take advantage of your friend with gearbox experience as I am told that some of the gears that required a puller to remove them were very tight and without the correct tools the gears could have been damaged. The Bentley manual is quite handy as it has info on the gearbox as well.
  15. Bump More Pics added at the top of thread
  16. Yes you do but the diff needs to be fitted into the box first. The float is then measured with a DTI. The diff is then removed and the correct size shims fitted. My old shim was the correct size.
  17. Should be fine depending on what you are doing. My box has had a complete overhaul, all bearings as well so a few extra parts were need on top of the obvious. If you are just fitting the diff and have the fitting kit thats all you should need :)
  18. Now that the Wavetrac group buy is over I thought I would post up some pictures of the Diff being installed into my new gearbox :D Corrado conversion V2 (3).pdfo2a gearbox (13).jpg[/attachment:3chrbn4b]Book1.pdfo2a gearbox (16).jpg[/attachment:3chrbn4b]stromlaufplan_gamma4.pdfo2a gearbox (17).jpg[/attachment:3chrbn4b]ETKA Corrado.pdfo2a gearbox (18).jpg[/attachment:3chrbn4b]stromlaufplan_gamma4.pdfo2a gearbox (19).jpg[/attachment:3chrbn4b]Corrado92.pdfo2a gearbox (14).jpg[/attachment:3chrbn4b]passat climatronic wiring diags.pdfo2a gearbox (15).jpg[/attachment:3chrbn4b] More to follow as the build progresses :D :D climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfPicture 015.jpg[/attachment:3chrbn4b]2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfPicture 016.jpg[/attachment:3chrbn4b]Picture 017.jpg[/attachment:3chrbn4b] A few more pictures above
  19. I have just gone back to a set of standard VW alloys. When I purchased the car ot had aftermarket wheels on it so I do not have the correct type of wheel bolts (length and seat). I purchased some bolts but when they arrived the threads were too long and bottomed out in the holes (26mm length). According to ETKA I need part number b 3A0 601 139 - Wheel bolt M12x1.5x23.5. Can anyone confirm this to be the correct length of bolt for alloy wheels?
  20. Some story everywhere :mad2: Why is it so hard, its only a :censored: tyre! Probably never get used anyway. Any more ideas anyone?
