  1. Hi, I've been struggling recently with an occasional misfire on my '95 Corrado VR6. I've so far fitted new spark plugs and ignition leads (leads seemed to make it better) to try and resolve the issue. It appears to misfire more often when it;s wet and at low revs. I'm starting to suspect there might be a hairline crack in the ignition coil pack which could be causing this...damp getting in maybe? It looks like the original coilpack, so it'll be 17yrs old now.... Firstly, I've been quoted about £280 for a new coilpack from a VW trade parts specialist, which seems a tad pricey. Does anyone know anywhere better to get a decent replacement coilpack for a VR6? And secondly, does anyone have any ideas of other causes of this misfire problem (im sure there's loads), but any that maybe common to Corrado's, maybe somewhere else to start looking for the problem...? Im kind of cautious about just replacing the coilpack in case it's something else that may well be an obvious cause! Any help much appreciated!
  2. thanks for all the replies, very useful indeed. Cheers.
  3. Hi everyone, I'm looking to replace the ignition leads on my 1995 Corrado VR6 as they are old and I'm having some slight misfiring problems. I'm looking for leads of equivalent or slightly better quality/performance than the original leads, but nothing too fancy, perhaps something around the £80-£90 mark. I do track days and put quite a few miles on the car so I dont want any cheap/low quality leads. What would people recommend as good ignition leads to purchase for my Corrado from past/current experience? If you could let me know the best place to purchase them from too that would be great. Many thanks in advance!
