fitted my coilovers yesterday and my passenger side rear was a bitch, took us over 2 hours to remove the bolt that holds the suspension base into the trailing arm. the bolt is now knackered and i need to source a new one, anyone know a part number or what size and length bolt i need to replace this, my car is currently up on jacks and i wanted to go to santa pod today :(

can you post some pics when these are fitted, i'm interested to see how you cut the bumper to fit them as one side looks spring loaded. Does it come with some kind of receiver to fit into..???

I know a guy who did the leather seats in his MK1 using products from here http://www.frost.co.uk/productList.asp? ... erior+Trim he said it was brilliant and no colour transfer as the colour soaks into the grain for a permanant change. I'm going to get some for the wife's Cabby to change hers from beige to black

i managed to dismantle the panel without damaging it, the bulb looks like it wired/soldered in the holder.???

I've used the search function and couldn't find my answer. I've just got the following Porsche 928 rims, 7j 205/50/16 ET65 pirelli p700 and was wondering what size adaptors to go for. I'd quite like the rears to stick out further than the fronts. It's currently standard suspension height as i didnt want to drop until i had my choice of wheel sorted. I have 4 x 100 on my Rado and i'm guessing the 928's are 5 x 130

I have an early spec and the bulb has blown in my heater controls (the slider ones) I've removed the front panel and dismantled it to remove the bulb and holder as they appear to be a single unit. My local VW dealer cannot find a part number or any info to order me one. I seem to recall on the MK1 golfs you had to replace the whole panel and you had no access to bulbs. Does anybody have a part number or more info...??????

Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not but i have a query.............I forgot to get fuel tonigth when i left work so decided to have a slow drive home. I was driving at 55MPH the revs were sitting at 2500RPM and the MFA was telling me 29.9 MPG....?????........is that right as it seems a bit poop for a 1.8 16V Rado :scratch:

i got as far as removing them other screw but noticed the cables in the back. Do i have to unplug the cables...??....do they just push in..??

i attempted this today, Mine is a 1.8 16V so it has the clock display in the left hand dial and the mileage display in the speedo. I followed these instructions and when i slid the clocks off it leaves the LCD displays still attached..??????.....are the clocks different to the VR....???........are mine meant to light up and if so how do i get to the bulbs...???

Does anyone know where i can purchase an upgraded headight loom, i've searched ebay and can't find any. I want one that'll do dipped and high beam :D
