hi ron and welcome ,,,personaly if you want to lower your ride and keep the comfort id go coilovers cheap set these days are fetching around 160/180 mark ,,,or you could go with the shortened springs{more work involved} but a lot cheaper ,,im shore some of the guys on here will come up with some other ideas all the best mate

same probs on my valver ,,changed sensor now dial not working ,,will strip down the clock wed and see if that works :-)

hi all ,,,just started to get this dam loud squeak coming from the front passenger side ,,it only appears when ive been driving for a awhile and when i turn right ,,gets louder the longer im driving ,,,,ive checked front bearing [no play in the front wheel at all] boots on the cv joints all good ,,cant find the dam problem,,,has anybody else had this prob,,by the way the front is lowered on coilys dont no if this has made the problem,,,,any advice please .....

just lowered the front ,,,took it about 20mm higher as i could not get her of the curb lol ,,,just got the back todo now,,,the handling is so much better and got a wicked stance to her ..and yes she needs a good clean lol

they work briliantly mate took me 5 mins to get off after 2 days with a hammer lol,,,,now got to do the other side as now that one is starting to whine grrrrrr ,,no movement in the wheel thou ....as for were i got the set stu i got them them from screwfix ,,payed alittle more £23.00 i think but hell it was the worth it ,,,,just dont try them on a bleed nipple nut lol ...good luck guys to those who are doing the same job ,,,if your close and need to borrow just give me a shout ....

k update ,,,all fixed,,rear bearings done and brakes ,,,had probs with air in the rears , soon sorted that out ,,,only bad thing was snapping the front nipple off and cant undo the nuts on the main pipe ,,,so will be changing all them next ,,,dont suppose anyone out there has a rear shelf for sale ,,,.... thanks for all the advice guys been a great help :D

hi all ,,thought id pop in and introduce my self properly,,,,,im a bit of a vw nut ,,love them all,,at the mo ive got a mk3 golf 1.8 8v called ratty and just treated my self to a 1.8 16v corrado not named yet but called it a few since ive just started to replace the back brakes and bearings lmao,,,bloody bolts.... also owned 70 bug 72 bug 94 mk3 golf 91 mk3 golf (ratty)and a little polo ,,,and hopefully one day ill get my karmann ghia can only dream cant i lol... well this seems like a good friendly site ,, hope to chat to you guys soon .... :D

hi all im having the same probs ,,,,wot irwin tool are you talking about ,,,,these dam 8mm hex nuts are driving me mad ,,tried everything so far ,,,just got the bottom ones todo ,,,got spare nuts to replace ,,,,many thanks guys
