  1. could also be a water pump or head gasket issue too
  2. close but not entirely accurate,ALL factory VR6's should have the facelifted front end, there are however a few other than the Campaign model that will have the early dash and door cards
  3. mk3 Golf perhaps??,going by the trim that is
  4. my Storm became relegated to very occasional use in 2005 after 4 years of being my daily, although I have been driving it more this past few months, tho Its still just occasional use, although I just have to drive into my next street to see another C
  5. a quick one to do is to remove the ABS ecu and see if the connections are furry/corroded or even loose,as Ive gone thru 2 of them in the past 5 years due to slight water ingress corroding the connections and snapping the pins editted to add the ABS ecu is behind the passenger side plastic footwell kickplate
  6. Hi Neil, thanks again for this organisation,I'll have one of each item please
  7. the reg was N*** USA(can't remember the actual digits tho hence the ***),very nice and individual colour in the metal, deffo wasnt Twilight tho
  8. I looked at a late VR in that very colour from the local VW Stealer back in 2000,it stayed local for a couple of years and then vanished, the reason I know it wasnt Twilight was that at the time JoeM's Corrado was owned up here and the one I looked at was deffo a different kind of hue to his one,I think it must have been a special order colour
  9. FWIW I didnt need to remove anything off the replacement switch to connect to my loom
  10. report it to the Police, you then get a crime report number and that should satisfy your insurance's windscreen cover terms and conditions, that way you'll only have to pay the glass excess which is normally between £50 and £60 without affecting any NCD/NCB,you can't try and charge them nearly £1k on something that you can get fixed easily enough for under £100,as for the paintwork issues,if its the blackberry or green coloured Corrado thats normally parked in Ferrier/Sandilands area, then there is an issue of betterment,ie the condition wasnt really mint pre incident,so you are actually benefitting from the work done, sorry if this sounds harsh but Ive seen both the cars in daylight
  11. I havent seen the original pre-facelift gauges up close but the ones in the ebay listing look as close as you'd get if not bang on what they should be(always looked like an afterthought IMHO )
  12. when it featured on Top Gear it belonged to a guy called Nick Micouris(sp) who was also a member on here, not sure what happened to either the car or Nick
