  1. How did you get the pain in the a£$e third screw out of the headlight?
  2. Thats mine at Haslar Hospital ! I used to work there a few years back :)
  3. I see yours all the time...its a horrendous place to get in and out of isn't it?[/quote:6286b] Are you usually in your Storm?[/quote:6286b] yep - usually[/quote:6286b] Ah, Is your the green one which I've spotted going towards the A32 heading into Gosport at 0730 - 0745 ish? I have spotted a Storm in Haslar Hospital as well, not sure if it's yours? There's usually a dark C heading out of Gosport at that time. Very friendly driver, always waves :)

  5. Bit of mutual Corrado spotting. Can't beat it. Same here I have to hike into Gosport from Cowplain every day :(
  6. I usually escape from Gosport down Newgate Lane and fancied a change. Don't think I'll do it again for a while. The traffic was hideous :!: Which way were you headed?
  7. Dark silver C on Ronal Turbos heading out of Gosport on the A32 at 4ish today. Looked low.
  8. I think it's a case of you win some and lose some with a bit of luck thrown in with Corrado ownership. In my 8+ years of ownership and using a number of testing stations, the only failures I have encountered have been top mounts on the front shocks. Everything else has been covered through routine servicing which has never exceded £350. My Polo has cost me more in the two years that it has been with me.
  9. Do you use a main dealer for your MoT's. They tend to be less tolerent.

There's a few Corrados in the area, we must all go out at different times!

Probably the whole lot, windows out etc. Most people think that my paintwork is fine, but I'm too choosy for my own good. As there are only a few small Tesco dings the prep costs shouldn't be too bad. Plus I intend to keep it for a good while yet.
  12. No sorry :( Have you tried the dealers? They can't be that much and are probably common to other VW models.

Will they be removing the windows, trim etc?
  14. Yes. You'll need one as this is what connects the handle the the rest of the mechanism. The handle clips on to the washer which is about 50mm dia. I wouldn't think that one would be hard to get hold of.
  15. it is held on by a skrew and a notched retaining washer. The black knob splits in two. No puns please!!
  16. Look like DTM pipes. Should be fitted to a Chavalier.
  17. Help. I need to wire up my heated seats (late type) and have the switch, the plug that connects to the switch and the plugs that connect to the seats themselves all that's missing is the bits in between and the link to the fuse panel. I'm no electrician but I'm sure this must be fairly straight forward. I have looked at the Bentley maunual and it's confused me :?
  18. I'm just off Hazleton way. Seen your car parked up at the top on quite a few occasions. "Spotted" you loads of time but haven't waved as I'm usuallly walking or in the Polo :!: Your C always looks cleaner than mine.
  19. Bordeaux Red H plate valver heading towards Stubbington At 4 pm ish. M plate dark VR at 7:45 am heading into Gosport on the A32 and last but not least Mike G60. Three in one day. Spring is on its way!
  20. I can vouch for the Polo GTI, although they need a bit of well to get them going

    WAXOYL

Great stuff for keeping the rust and rot away and preserving the brake pipes. I plaster mine in it before the winter sets in. I use a pump type garden spray after heating up the waxoyl by standing it in a bowl of boiling water.
