  1. especially when you are enjoying yourself
  2. Happy birthday to me. I've been registered on here for four years today :new-bday:
  3. I think they are IRO £350. Although I'm still on the original after 12 years and 116K so no problems with build quality.
  4. That's the place. I was very specific about what I wanted and they agreed with my idea to repace the trims and supported my claim for my insurance Co to pay for the parts as they "HAD" to be replaced as part of the job. No complaints with the workmanship at all :D
  5. I used the RAC depot down at Farlington. I left the car there so they didn't do a rush job on the door step.
  6. I had mine done about six months ago, I managed to get all the plastics replaced, including the lower trim, after speaking to the fitters (RAC) who were happy to fit and supply provided that they had authorisation from my insurance Co. This was all included in the cost of mu claim so only the excess was paid. I also insisted on a genuine VAG screen as I had a pattern one fitted on my old valver which whistled!, they ended up fitting it twice and the probem was still there so a genuine one was fitted in the end.

    Carpet Cleaning

Be prepared for the car to steam up if you are doing it at this time of year. Plenty of driving with the sun roof on tilt/windows open (Brrrr!) and the heater going flat out on the lower vent setting will help the drying process and prevent it going musty.
  8. Sorry to hear about the damage. Where has the good will to all men gone  I don't think it was Santa, as he was delivering to me at the time!
  9. Welcome. It is good to see a Corrado staying on the forum. Keep the faith!
  10. There's a place in the Romsey area who are supposed to be good, but they charge £54 a corner. That's why me and Goldie will be making the trip to BJV :)
  11. Any idea on what size socket is needed to drift the bearing in?
  12. £1500 should get you decent paint job, so don't settle for anything less!
  13. 114K and still going strong (even the original exhaust). Only thing needing doing at the moment is a noisey rear wheel bearing.
  14. Spring is a good time as people have usually recovered from the xmas spend. It also gives you chance to get the car nice and clean without it being trashed on filthy roads.
  15. GIXXERUK Is there any chance of posting the link please. Cheers
  16. I thought about that but I don't want to fry anything!
  17. How can I check if my heated seats work without a loom? Before I go and invest in getting a loom made I want to make sure that the seat elements work as they should. Any ideas would be appreciated. I also need 2 heated seat relays if anyone has any spare.
  18. Don't blame me :) You could have warned me, mine is filthy, and I still haven't seen yours in the flesh yet!
  19. Let me know if you get a good deal on a standard exhaust. I'll probably stick with the original when mine eventually decides to give up on me. I'm still on the original at 120k, so another genuine one should see me good for another 10 tears or so which seems to be as long as some stainless ones last for.
  20. I think there must be one of the largest colonies of Corrados in this area
  21. Good to see that he has got a Corrado (Storm) on the rollers!
  22. I haven't had mine painted yet and I'm trying to make my mind up on which body shop to use. The new year looks good for a respray if I've got any money left!
  23. I think you'll find that your donor car is in Aqua Blue. There are a couple of VR's round here in that colour. Mine is the one on german plates.
  24. Looking good Mate 8) . Is your new leather heated? If so I wouldn't mind a look at the loom as I need to make one for mine, a pattern would help with the cause as I have all the parts but need to work out how it all fits together.
