  1. Here's a how to from the Polo forum. http://www.tigerstyle.co.uk/poloforum/v ... hp?t=13624. I masked the hidden part of the rim to preserve the remaining laquer and also masked over the bolt holes to stop any crap getting in. Also before re-assembly a thin layer of grease was used where the two parts meet to stop any further corrosion. Watch that the grease doesn't get in the bolt holes as they may cause the rim to crack due to the hydraulic effect. I didn't bother re-laquering the rims and maintained them with a regular polish of Autosol. You will need an M8 torx bit for the bolts which I obtained from my local motor factors for under £4.00. You can do the job without fully removing the tyres, just get the beads split and make sure that paint stripper does not come into contact with the tyre.

  2. Just refurbed a set from my Polo GTI. If the centres are OK, split the rims yourself and polish polish the outer rims. Takes a bit of time but costs next to nothing to do and you have the satisfaction that you did it yourself. A lot of time is taken removing the bolts and this all adds up.

  3. A friend says don't buy a unit from Kenwood as they specialise in food processors! I've ruled out Sony because I'm not keen on the styling.

Sorry to spoil things, The food processor company is a completely different Company  Otherwise I would be able to get discount :) You won't go far wrong with an Alpine.

  4. You don't need to remove the slam panel. Take the battery out, remove the rad hoses, unbolt the fan assembly (bit tricky but can be done with patience!) slide the unit out in the direction of the battery tray (takes abit of jiggling), unbolt radiator and remove the same route as the fan unit. Goes back the way it came out. Took me about 1 1/2 hours as a novice. I'm sure there's a how to on here somewhere

  5. Just been down to the scrappies for a couple of parts. On the way back noticed a Corrado outside of a recommended garage. Curiosity got the better of me so went in for a chat and to get a couple of quotes. Asked who owned thr Corrado, apparently the prevous owner took a wrong turn when taking the C to the srappies. He had suffered some running probs and couldn'd be a*sed to get it fixed. To cut a long story short money exchaged hands (£25:00    ) For a one owner 16 valver with a genuine 61k clock    On a K plate as well :!:

  6. Yeah - sadly plenty of people out there do just consider them to be 'just a car' - though why those people can't just buy a Daewoo Matiz and leave the decent cars to the enthusiasts is beyond me :(

Perhaps they are not worthy of Corrado ownership :!: and should have their vehicles confiscated. Potential owners should be vetted prior to purchasing such a great car.
