  8. Hi owenfishburn Our bonnets are manufactured to the spec. that the customer requires. These can be produced as standard with the outer skin and inner frame which house all original OEM sized Bighead nuts to install just as a factory bonnet would, or can come as a "Race spec" version consisting of just the outer skin which is used for motorsport purposes in conjunction with bonnet pins. If desired for ease of access the standard version can easily be cut to run pins too. The finish can come in either U.V. inhibited clear coat, raw carbon or lacquer (Add £100 for the lacquered option) The cost for the Bonnet in infused Carbon fibre is £640 and the Race spec outer skin is £400. Thanks :)
  9. I will list pictures here by the end of the day but we have had a cancelled order for a Corrado Tailgate, this is Infused Motorsport Carbon Fibre which means it is perfect for being either painted or lacquered with an infused Black GRP Inner skin. Total OEM fitment. Perfect fit for the Corrado and weighs less than 3kg. Spoiler motor brackets and locking bracket not supplied but can be re-used from your car. Price £400 We also have Roofskins, Door Cards, Bonnets, Spoilers and Carbon Fibre Number Plate surround. All available in Carbon Fibre or Infused GRP which is almost as light.
  10. ok, next question.. anyone have one they could send Lewis to have a look at?
  11. Can someone send a picture over... Sadly everything we make someone suggest how much demand there would be for something else :-) Just waiting for someone to ask why we don't have doors :-)
  12. yes will be almost identical to the spoonfed one... will keep you posted..
  13. Hmmm, sorry i have shown my ignorance... i was not aware of late or early wings... does anyone know if the fitment is the same. It is unlikely we would do both but settle for one like the VR6 Bonnet that we sell a large number of.. I'm guessing the late ones... will have a chat with JMR tomorrow as he tends to be our Oracle for all things Corrado!
  14. I was waiting for this to be asked.... at the moment the priority is Corrado Wings but by the end of the year we will have the extended spoiler...
  15. Yes it is just lighter although lets be honest it not a huge weight saving... just don't put in the extra packet of chewing gum that morning! But if your one is cracked or dull and you need a brand new one then we have available
  16. Hi, We have tooled up for another product for the Corrado.. An infused Carbon or GRP Number plate surround. We will be selling the carbon fibre ones for £150 on eBay and through our site but happy to offer to members here at £125 plus £7.50 postage, the GRP ones will be £100 and £75 to you. A must have if you have one of our full Carbon Tailgates and a need to have to everyone else! This one is shown with a Matte Motorsport look, can be supplied with a gel coat and very shiny finish for the same cost and to match other products :-)
  17. Hi, sorry for not replying on here today... Been one of those days... Prices quoted were for a pair of wings Our work is all resin infused and not pre-preg Fibreglass or carbon would both need priming prior or painting so same for both but we can supply primed Yes it is genuine Carbon, 2x2 Twill 207g Resin infused Carbon Products are supplied with a gel coat which can be polished to very very high shine or lacquered Products can also be supplied without gel, it is lighter and more Matte in appearance and cannot be polished Think that was all the questions.... Could you drop me an email to [email protected] if you happy to place an order and I will update this thread with names and numbers or orders.. Once we have 5 people we can start moulding :-) Happy to answer any other questions of course just sometime cannot respond immediately.. But always try for same day... Just about to post a picture of another carbon product we just completed for your cars.... Carbon number plate surround, this is available now... Again genuine carbon, we don't do wraps :-)
  18. It would be standard wings as our market might be more limited with flared... but you guys tell us... what would you want.. obviously it is easier to get standard wings to mould from too...
  19. Hi, LWS Design has recently moved premises and has now almost cracked through the backlog of orders, with a much larger unit and a new Partner in the business Dean things have now got to a point when we can start to look forward to new products to keep you all happy :-) As you know we have the Door Cards, VR6 Bonnets, Full Roof, Tailgate and Spoiler all available in Carbon and Infused GRP and what is missing.... yup the Wings.. We have been asked many times to make these and now feel we can undertake the project if there is enough interest... The prices will be £950 for the Carbon and £600 for the Infused GRP (Please note this is not heavy Wet-lay but the same Infusion process as our carbon work so still very light. We would anticipate these weighing at under 2kg and will be straight bolt on replacement panels. Who would be interested in participating the group buy to get this off the ground, we would need 5 orders as a min to undertake the time it takes to make the moulds etc. We would expect mould time to be about 6 weeks and first products within a couple of weeks of this.... What are your thoughts :-) P.S. We have a 10% off sale on all our parts at the moment :-) I can goto 15% for you lovely forum members!
  20. Many thanks, to be honest half the battle is getting good donor parts.... and of course happy to do deals for the donor :-) Will be in touch :-)
  21. Hi, It would not be anything to do with the tooling costs, it is purely down to the complexity of the part to produce once we have the mould, we always make sure we produce a perfect OEM fit which means a 3 part mould for wings as they attach in a very different way to a bonnet which just uses the oem screws etc, happy to re-look at this and if there is less work then we will charge less. We have based this idea of pricing on the Mk1 Golf Wings, we own the moulds for this and still sell these for £1250 a pair but are a perfect bolt on fit with no body modifications as so many aftermarket panels require, those wings weigh under 2kg and I believe are actually larger than the corrados
  22. Hi, Without seeing the damage it is hard to say, stone chips certainly would not cause a bonnet to self destruct unless it was a very significant impact or large stone/brick and even then I would not expect it to shatter, certainly the integrity of the carbon would not be affected and it could be repaired or painted body colour Perhaps a good test of our products is the Lotus Elise S2 Carbon Front splitter, we have supplied a large number of these to customers and these will have stone impacts all the time as they are about 3 inches off the ground and we have never had a return or complaint. Hope that helps...
  23. If they are anything like the Tailgate then we might be staying away! If there is enough demand we can do it we are just wary over how complex the tailgate was to mould and now make and also the Golf Mk1 Wings are one of the most complext parts.. a set of wings in Carbon would be about £1300... Still interest? GRP would be c£800. They would need to be a 3 part mould which makes them a bugger... in technical terms... but do-able :-)
