All fixed now. Was indeed the 13 nut on top of the gear box that had worked loose. Couldn't see it the first time I looked but all became clear with the info from here. Thanks for your help guys :-)Kip

haha im from norf weezie too :)

he had actually wired in a vw audi relay... lol but all that wireing is now removed.. its running on the factory wire loom
-
ok.. thick jump leads got it started...
and its still draining the battery... i think we have located the issue due to the previous owner fitting a hid kit that i removed.. it looks like he has taken the wire from the main beam and connected that into the hid it was still connected to the battery causing the drain... all seems fine now.. ill update you if if drains again...
altho im still concerned with the ignition.. im wondering if that could also be draining the battery...
-
ok cool... i dont have a volt meter.. im gonna get a auto electrician out today to test it and see where the drain is coming from... im also confused why it wouldnt start with puttin jump leads on it?
-
ok thats a insight... as when i put the key in it opens the electrics straight away.. this may be the issue...
what can i do step by step to find if this is the actual fault?
-
thats interesting you say ignition switch.. as when i put the key in it opens the switch to allow the radio to go on... can anyone else clarify if this was the same issue? and shud a corrado ignition come on just by entering the key without turning?
-
Hi guys I have a problem with my corrado, it's draining my battery after two days I thought it might be the cold weather but I've fitted a brand new battery and found its drained
Don't know we here to begin trying to fix this help is needed
I've tried to put jump leads and it won't start. The last time this happened I had the battery replaced and it worked fine I'm just not looking to replace the battery again

i had and issue with my golf, now i was told that other models of golf will also fit.. i ended up fitting a pedal box for a mk2 golf in a mk some other people may also be able to clarify that i have not had to change a pedal box in a corrado... so maybe a golf box might fit and be easier to get hold of.

alot of interesting replies... ive recently got new insurance declaring all of my modifications... and guess what its cheaper! im confused.com...
the issue is how does a modification actually affect a premium... i understand the obv better wheels, bodykit might make it more desireable.. but it wud not be a choice for someone to steal as it makes the car stand out more.. making it easier to find.. also.. if im upgrading my suspension its not to make it look good its to improve the handling... so surely i shud get a discount.. ?
its strange... but im happy ive declared everything and tim at prestige got me the cheapest price ive ever had.. so im a happy man.

I just want to say how very happy i am to now be covered by prestige!
They offered me the cheapest quote and declaring all of my modifications!
I would recommend them to anyone with a modified car!
