Stripped the sunroof out 2day, figured it t'was about time I did it. Replaced the passenger's side waterplate guide thingy, evened it all up. Lovely. Check the mechanism on the manual winder, super job so far. Put the headlining board (whatever it's called) back into the mechanism, refitted the roof etc.. ahhhhhhhhhh. For some reason the problem all along may have something to with the lining cover thing that covers over the workings of the sunroof, appears to be rubbing and stopping the movement when the sunroof returns. Any ideas how to cure this?

My mates got a 20v turbo coupe... I can tell you from experience they have a visco-drive LSD system handling all the shenanigans. His modded one is now pulling something like 250bhp and more torque!! I think fiats get a lot of out-of-date stick really.. I mean how many corrados have failed spoilers, heater dials, sunroofs etc. I've gotta defend the Fiat Coupe and say from what I know they really are put together well. The chassis does definitely struggle with the power, even with the LSD, on the Bedford Autodrome we were getting severe understeer and lots of tyre graining. The weight split is also something like 67/33% Next time you see one take a look at the size of the rear brakes, they're about the size of atoms lol I'd agree with the comment about the mirrors, you can't really move them, so parking is a gamble. They also sound scary(!) My friends one sounds like Airwolf lol I kid you not!

I just don't get how they could possibly force the tracker to be installed in the 1st place. The car is private property.. unless they make it MOT-able, so then all the spanner monkeys in the world will have to be trained up etc how to test them etc etc, which would definitely put the price of the MOT up (and where does MOT money go... ker-ching ker-ching).. and what about driving through tunnels etc etc. I'm personally up for toll roads, just got back from Monaco, surrounded by tolls down there and the motorway was lovely and free, the black-top was super smooth.. oh and not 1 single speed camera!

yeah, still a bit bling perhaps, think they could look alright on the right C

was thinking, what if you de-blinged them (front headlight mod style) and used a matt or satin black. They'd look a bit like vx220 lights, could be alright in that case I reckon, it'd match the number plate panel aswell... photoshop pls

I'm having a similar problem to you aswell. Clio 182? Or 172 cup, they're getting cheaper now and cost nowt to run -
did hear a story that Peugeot used to raise their published 0-60 times in order to bring down the insurance groups.. i.e. slower car=lower group. But the cars' were normally 0.5s quicker in reality. Dunno if that's true though, perhaps that's what Reliant do aswell lol

Mines the same, would anybody fancy repairing it for me? VW want a grand and I don't really wanna tackle it!

Car:VR6 Exhaust: Miltek CAT back Verdict: I love the sound, pops and farts when I change down, quality also seems good. But the original fit was shocking, I put this down to the exhaust when I first got it, but on reflection AMD did a nasty job. I've had to fit all new rubbers and actually knock some up custom brackets. Sweet as a nut now though.

this was supposed to be chrome effect, but I don't think any paint is ever going to be able to recreate the chrome effect. So far the paint has stood up very well.. I think it might make the lights slightly duller when turned on, but thats easily fixed with the uprated loom and some decent bulbs lol

ah-ha or you do as I do: 1) park car next to sisters/mums/dads 2) wait for them to wash theres 3) whinge and moan about how they could've washed yours whilst they were out there, especially as you've a)painted their flat b)cut their grass c) run them down the shops 4) go out and leave them to wash it for you to cover up their guilt Trust me, works every time.. and if they love you enough there won't be any watermarks.... or scabby peanut butter!!

Did mine a while back. I used plasticote black gloss.. its like hobby paint I think, but its also heatproof. Worked a complete treat, only problem then was when I removed the masking tape, it had pulled away the silver coating on the main light bits... resolved using some satin silver spray, so now my lights are *completely* de-chromed.... even tho I hadn't intended to do that lol
