  1. So I bought some Powerflex top mounts for when I fit the new coilies when I have the new engine in. Fingers crossed she'll be back tomorrow with a new steering rack and balanced wheels, and my 280mm brakes fitted! I will be uploaded some engine build pics as and when I begin this week coming :)

  2. Here is some pics of my car cleaned with some of their products, I use a shampoo and drying towel to dry, a paint restorer they sell instore (not made my them), "Mirror Image" 3 in 1 wax, polish and cleanser, "Glassique" hard wax, and "Envisage" glass cleaner. I also top the shine up with QDS through the week - the BEST detailing spray ever in my eyes!

  3. Yeah mate, they do a couple of wheel care packages, one's £35 and other is £50 or so. They both have what you need in there - It's got iron remover, acidic wheel cleaner, and wheel seal wax, with a brush and an applicator - it's all on the site buddy. I'll see if I have any pics of my car cleaned to put up

  4. Hi all,

I would like to share with you my local company who make all their own care care products in-house. They are based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and are called Inspired Automotive. They have a website http://www.inspired-automotive.co.uk

I used to use Meguiars etc as everyone did, but I came accross this company through Facebook promotions etc, I originally bought their liquid wax as that's what I was used to using, with a bottle of their detailing spray called "QDS". I have never seen better results that I have with these products. Since then I have began building my entire collection, and am now the proud owner of a lot of their stuff!

I would honestly say that their gear is the best I have seen, and I often pop down to their unit where they also carry out detailing, valeting, wheel refurbs, paint correction, headlight correction, window tints and much much more!!

They do waxes, polishes, detailing sprays, interior rubber and dash care, trim restorer, tyre shine AND in-car fragrances.

They are a good bunch of guys too, friendly and very helpful - a try before you buy attitude also!!

    Get on it guys

  5. My sill is compressed too, but I'm gonna just put plates there and weld them in when I need to, I have no holes on my C at moment (what I could see when I had it jacked up last week). Hope you manage to get it all sorted fella, should be a simple fix

This is the drivers side, the first is the passenger side. Are these common areas for corrosion? has anybody else has to carry out similar work? all advice would be really helpful

    Regards Karl

Looks like someone has pushed a jack through the floor. Had this on my Golf MK2. Basically needs a plate welding there to pass the next MOT. Better off getting this done professionally, cost me £95 for both sides on mine.

  7. They should be fine if they're left, as long as the bottles were properly closed before they went in. Make sure when you polish the car to shake the bottle, and remove all sediment from the cap as the bits will scratch the paint work. Also seal the polish in with a sealant before waxing to preserve the paint ;)

  8. I'm not sure if I have the module or not, but there's no looms or mechs etc as they were taken out. The drivers door has been changed at some point so everything had been removed, even the mirror loom and speaker wires!! Just been chopped off :(. I'll do some digging to see if I can find a full set up, replace what I can then. Cheers!

  9. Hi all, my Rado had manual windows in and I think the previous owner has added them in and taken the electric windows out... How easy to come by are the set ups for the eleccy windows, and roughly how much are they to buy complete? Loom, switches, fuse and mechanism/motors?? I recently bought a full setup for my MK2 Golf and it set me back about £180 :s

  10. Yeah mate, next meet I know of is Sunday 15th September at the Old George (Miller and Carter) in Leeds, Garforth roundabout, LS25 1NB. If you turn up you'll have a good time, and there's tons of guys there who know their stuff. That's for the Just Dubs meet, but the guys from Bradford usually convoy down too so would be good to come and get some contacts!
