  1. 2.0 16v | Aqua Pearl-effect Blue | Wirral Price: £1250 Description: Description: Volkswagen Corrado 16V 2.0 For Sale October 1994 M Reg with just 83200 miles on the clock, finished in Aqua Pearl-effect Blue. MOT until end of October 2012, Taxed until end of September 2012 and ready to be driven away today. I have owned this car from new and have a full service history. The bodywork is in good condition and it is running well. Inevitably, with a car of this age, there are a few points to be made. It has a stone chip on the bonnet which has created a small rust spot. The sun-roof may need attention – I am reluctant to test it in case it gets stuck open! The radio/CD player is unreliable. It starts with a push-button fitted on the steering column following an electrical problem. Due to their age, the alloy wheels can let air out slowly so the sealant needs replacing from time to time. It is due a cam-belt change. Some kind person has recently ‘keyed’ along one side, though not down to the metal. Otherwise it is in good nick. The time has come to move on so I am saying goodbye to a trustworthy and reliable vehicle which has been a joy to drive. Notwithstanding the points listed above, the low mileage and sound engine make this a very realistic price. £1250
  2. No longer required as the car is going back to factory. Don't often come up for sale and are very very expensive new. Comes with both the arms and correct blades - work well at higher speeds... Corrado ones don't... as you probably know. Also look a lot tidier! Blades were fine when last used, but the car has been off the road for a couple of years so I can't make any guarantees. Rubber does not appear to be perished or frost damaged from initial inspection, but these are second hand items. £70 + £4 postage (if not collecting) Paypal (gift) or bank transfer Collect from Herts or Beds - happy to meet if not too far away to avoid postage costs Any questions, please ask - might whack em on eBAY if not much interest on here. Josh
  3. Genuine ETA Beta 17x8" 5x130, ET49. 3 Piece Split Rims in Porsche fitment. Genuine Porsche metal hand polished and painted centre caps. Porsche logo metal dust caps. Original Condition, never refurbed, few lights scratches and some milky patches on dishes, no buckles or cracks. Goodyear 205/40/17 with about 3mm left. Will fit most VAG cars with adapaters, 4x100, 5x100, 5x112 etc... FOR SALE: £1250. £100 less with plastic centre caps (last pic). Not looking for PX I already have new wheels sorted. Prefer cash on collection from Manchester/Cheshire.
  4. VR6 | Ice Grey Violet | North West London Price: £2,390 ovno Description: 1994 VW Corrado VR6 Manual - £2,390...ono. MUST GO THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!!!! After 2 and a half years of thoroughly enjoyable ownership of this classic VW, I unfortunately have to put this lovely Ive Grey Violet example up for sale. I originally planned to keep this for good (hence the amount of money I have spent on it) but my girlfriend has passed her test and we need a car that both of us can use so this has to go to a good home. A majority of my mileage has been 400 mile round trips from London to Liverpool. This car has never let me down except for a dodgy battery (replaced), faulty ignition switch (replaced) and a blown cylinder head (all fixed to a high standard). It is surprising how reliable this car has been and how refined it is. This Corrado is pretty much fully loaded and benefits from never having the suspension or engine modified. This is the ideal car for somebody who likes the original looks or as a blank canvas to modify. This car has had 3 previous owners before me and comes with a stacked folder including original adverts for previous buyers. It has a really good history and the guy I bought it from looked after it well too. The original book is included in the sale too. The car has done 153,500 miles but has been more than looked after… had timing chains done, new clutch and recently had the head gasket replaced including a head skim. The car is taxed until the end of September. It recently sailed through an MOT so this is valid until July 26th 2013. This car benefits from: -Full heated black leather (It had a recolour a couple of years ago so it looks brilliant and all heating elements work) -Electric windows -Electric spoiler (works automatically at 60mph and with button) -Electric sunroof (tilts and slides) -Electric wing mirrors (slightly noisy but in full working order) -Great rare colour - as far as I know this colour was only available for a year so this is a rare colour on an already rare car -First aid kit still sealed under the rear armrest -Jetex exhaust (as close to standard as possible, nice but quiet noise and won't rust!) -Upgraded brakes (mk3 vr6 front and mk4 rear) - original brakes are really bad -Sony CD player can play from a memory stick or via bluetooth -Handsfree phone connect through the Sony headset -Previous owner had a blow over respray so the finish is still bright and shiny -Newly reconditioned standard alloys with centre caps -Genuine original Corrado floor mats (rare these days) P1010253 by jonty oconnor, on Flickr P1010250 by jonty oconnor, on Flickr P1010241 by jonty oconnor, on Flickr P1010254 by jonty oconnor, on Flickr Here's a history of my ownership. Thousands spent as I thought I would keep hold of it…here's the list: March 2010: bought for £3,350 April 2010: Belt damper and new belt - £106.91 Jetex stainless steel exhaust - £350 Rear shocks Bump stops wishbone bushes Inner CV boot Oil cooler seals Strut top mount and bearing Exhaust fitting Above inc labour - 629.20 Engine oil, filters and Redline MT90 gearbox oil - £84 Labour - £60 June 2012: Re-colouring of front leather seats with Furniture Clinic's leather colorant kit - £70 November 2012 (Stealth Racing): Timing chains and tensioners New clutch HT leads Thermostat Thermostat housing 3 speed fan switch Heater control panel (£186 plus VAT!) Engine oil and coolant Above inc labour - £1,299.72 September 2011: Right and left can arm and bushes, ball joints and bearings - £100 parts February 2012 (BAM Racing): Service of oils and filters Rear wheel bearings Outer CV boot Replaced ignition switch Power steering pump Rear gearbox mount Above inc labour approx £400 April 2012: New Speedline alloys which had been previously reconditioned - £150 May 2012 (Bam Racing): Cylinder head stripped cleaned Reface valve seats Clean reface valves Reface cylinder head Above - £228 Remove and refit head cylinder head New cylinder head gasket set Anti-freeze Coolant Above - £320 New HT leads (awesome GTi) and spark plugs July 2012 (Bam Racing): Second hand mk3 288 front brake callipers Second hand mk4 rear calipers Ferodo rear brake discs (mk4) Ferodo front brake discs (mk3) 6L 5W-40 synthetic oil - £134.46 2 x mk3 brake lines 2 x rear mk2 to mk4 steel brake lines 2 x rear wheel bearing kits rear brake pads 1L brake fluid 1 x Battery Removing alarm (can be reconnected) above including labour - £435 2 x new front tyres - £120 Bad points (these could be fixed easily and are mainly cosmetic as I have spent money on the mechanical issues first) - I have tried to be honest as possible to save people wasting their time: -rust by rear Corrado badge -fan works only on the highest setting - the car runs at perfect temperatures which have been checked on VAGcom but the fan is quite noisy so it could benefit from a new switch -tiny bit of rust below the rear window -tiny bit of rust at top of windscreen (but well not past fixing - no need to chop metal out!) -a few dings on the both doors -a scratch on bottom of the rear bumper (backed into a high curb) -cracked fogs on both sides Any questions please get in touch…ring or text 07863 200 114 or PM. 7. VR6 | Blue/Purple | Washington, Tyne and Wear, NE37 Price: £1000 Description: Due to losing my garage in the very near future I am having to (against my wishes) sell my Corrado VR6. I've owned the car for a couple of years now and really did fall in love with it. The noise, the occasion, the looks. And as such I spent a lot of money on sorting out bits and pieces, costing me a small fortune in the time I was driving it. However, and here come the negatives and the reason it is cheap. I stopped driving it over a year ago due to a fault that I just didn't have the time to figure out. I was using it as my daily for many thousands of miles and needed a problem free car to get me to work and back so it was parked up with the intention of getting it looked at when I got a little money together. The problems started when I had a local garage change the ISV due to it cutting out. Ever since that time it's run badly at idle for the first minute after starting and the fuel effieciency has been poor. I truly believe that it's simply another faulty/wrongly fitted ISV or the garage has knocked it well out of tune whilst trying to sort it. On the plus side for the prospective buyer, it got all new plugs and leads whilst they were trying it figure it out, so they're pretty much brand new! There's then the issues that have arisen due to being left standing for so long. The brakes will need attention, and this has caused the ABS light to come on (was fine before it was parked up). The tyres, although having plenty of tread, I'm sure will need replacing due to flat spots, and one no longer holds air hence is sitting on the space saver currently. It also suffers from a couple of Corrado specific issues, ie the blowers only work on full and the sunroof tilts but doesn't slide. However, the auto spoiler DOES work! Right, so after all of the negatives, there are positives that you'll see in the pictures at the end. The bodywork and paint are excellent! This car is visually stunning and surprisingly suffers from non of the horrible rusty arches or doors. Hence me not wanting to get rid or scrap it. It is just too good! It is in far better condition than my other, significantly more expensive, Corrado. It also comes with some very nice choice mods too. It sits on decent Audi Fat 6 wheels and FK height and damping adjustable coilovers. Momo team wheel and gear knob, samco hoses and best of all, a custom leather interior out of my other Corrado that I put in for a show, but am leaving in to achieve my asking price. I could do the car cheaper with a standard black interior that was in excellent conditon when I put it into storage. If I had the space to keep it I most certainly would as it's worth the small time and effort needed to bring it back to scratch. My time with my garage has unfortunately run out though due to my neighbour who's garage I am using moving away. Gutted just doesn't cut it really, as you will see from the pictures. In summary, I am offering a cheap VR6 that I'm sure will be good if someone with the know how gives it a little attention, the bodywork is stunning bar one scuff left by some inconsiderate idiot just after I'd had the front and both sides painted. A few pictures taken just yesterday when I pulled it out for a wash and a link to photobucket where you can find more, including the negatives mentioned: http://www.photobucket.com/VRSale All these pictures were taken just after a quick shampoo, no polish or wax, and I think shows just how good this Corrado is. There are some polished pictures in the photobucket album. I invite any interested people to pop down and have a look to see just how good it is for the money themselves and I will demonstrate the issues, and point out the great bits. It goes without saying really but I suggest the car be trailored away unless you live really close as it has sat for a long time, tyres and brakes aren't great and it obviously has no MOT or Tax due to sitting for so long. Car is located in Washington, Tyne and Wear. Postcode NE37. My number is 07891091674. Thanks for looking, Daniel

  9. VR6 | Bordeaux Pearl | Westbury - Wilts Price: £800.00 Description: Here is my VR6 Corrado Track Car, which I have completed 6 track days this year in (some of you will have helped me with parts / advise along the way so a big thanks from me). It is mechanically very good and doesn’t burn or leak oil / water etc – my garage floor is very clean! I am also selling my Car Trailer which I use to transport to and from circuits – so if someone is looking for a full set to start trackdays - I could do a deal for the both at £1200. I have the car advertised on eBay starting at £800 but ideally would l want it to go to a forum member who could enjoy it as a track car and keep their daily Rado intact, so would take the initial £800 directly on here. It does have MOT until end of Nov 2012, No Tax (currently on SORN) but is much better left to continue as a track car, and the car is on 130K (it’s a 1993 L reg). The body work isn’t great so it wont ever be a show car (there is some poor rust repairs, some lacquer coming off, odd small dent, stone chipped bonnet etc – good track type stickers will make it all look much better but I never really got round to that) so please don’t expect it to be super tidy – that’s not what its for – its been a fast, powerful, lightweight track car. I have many photos of it out on the track, so please email me if you need to see some. In the 8 months I have owned it I have had the below replaced: • New Radiator • New Oil Cooler seals • New racing pads - front and back – Ferodo DS2500 Front / Black Diamond – Predator back. (Spare pads also supplied) • Grooved and Cross Drilled front discs ( spare set of discs supplied) • Decat pipe fitted with brand new Lamda sensor fitted this month (Aug 12). I have the original Cat with shield and lambda I can throw in if needed. • New Bonnet cable • Polybushes - Front Rear and Front of Front • New Springs and shocks (Lowered 60mm / 40mm), then 4 wheel alignment by VW Dealer in July 12 • 4 point harness 8 Wheels, 4 original speedlines on car with tyres for dry days, plus 4 Golf GTI wheels with excellent tyres – ideal for wet days All electrics work ie: sunroof (although very slow), windows and spoiler all ok. Toad Ai606 immobiliser - all working inc remote. The service history shows: Main Dealer printout - 6100 / 17133 / 26368 / 37530 / 46212 / 79206 / 87141 / 113773 miles (merc dealer) /119624 (I bought the car on approx. 129K)miles Other major items done - Engine mountings / Starter motor and Heater Matrix invoices over the past 7 years. I am located in Westbury – Wilts, and OK with feedback / suggestions, just PM me.

  13. VR6 | Mystic Blue - Storm | Reading, Berkshire Price: £4250 Description: Hi all, Due to the return of my first ever car from the paint shop, and a lack of space to keep all of my cars (I currently have five) I sadly need to sell my Mystic Blue VR6 Storm. I have owned this car for just under two years, in which time I have really enjoyed the experience. It was a car that I had always wanted ever since reading a back issue of the Autocar road test of the Corrado VR6. As is well known, the Corrado received what I can only describe as a fantastic write up. In the summary paragraph "You will know by now that we think this is a very special car indeed. Not only does it redefine just have effective a powerful front wheel drive chassis can be, but it also reestablishes the fact that there ain't no substitute for cubes when it comes to making small cars perform well. Very Well. It's a classic the VR6, and it's talents run so deep that it takes a while for them to sink in completely. Certainly in 20 years time if it appeared on the cover of some classic car magazine with the headline saying "one of the all time greats" we wouldn't be surprised. Fast forward 15 years and I bought a lightly modified Mystic Blue VR6. During my ownership I have painstakingly returned the car to standard, the reason being I wanted to meet one of my childhood heroes, not a shadow of its former self. As such, I have spent over £3,500 on replacement parts, paint and a little bit of labour (I have done large parts of the light mechanical and cosmetic restoration myself, the rest of the work has been done by J-Tech). It now looks, feels and drives as the factory intended to the extent that I am actually satisfied with the car. A short, but not total list of the work that has been done to the car in the past two years includes: Mechanical and Running Gear New Front Engine Mount New Gearbox Mount New Rear Engine Mount New Brembo Rear Brake Disks and Pads New VAG Rear Wheelbearings New VAG Front Wheelbearings New ABS Sensors New Rear Brakelines New Genuine VAG Rear Handbrake Cables Inners and Outers New Genuine VAG Rear Beam Bushes New Genuine VAG Front Wishbone Bushes New Genuine VAG Wishbones New Genuine VAG ARB Droplinks New Genuine VAG Balljoints Replacement subframe because the old wishbone front bolts would not come undone Replacement radiator Replacement Genuine Bosch Aux Water Pump New Low Temp Thermostat New Genuine VAG CV Boots New Genuine VAG Track Rods and Track Rod Ends New Genuine VAG Rear Shock Absorbers 288mm Front Brakes from a late VR6 Golf (the only non period part on the car and a very nice upgrade from the standard 280mm items) New genuine VAG Rocker Cover Gasket Three genuine VAG oil filters and oil changes New Genuine VAG Fuel Filter New Genuine VAG Air Filter New Bosch Platinum Spark Plugs Bodywork And Exterior Trim New Genuine VAG Rear VW Badge New Genuine VR6 Badge Replacement Passenger Door Handle Lock Barrel Retumbled New Bosch Wiper Blades Replacement VAG Front Grill painted in Mystic Blue Replacement VW Hella Passenger Side Headlight Refurbished VW Solitude Alloys with almost new Toyo Proxy tyres in the correct 205/50/15 size In addition to these parts I have also spent £1,250 on various paint correction Interior Replacement Headlining Replacement Genuine Bosch Sunroof Motor New Genuine VAG Handbrake Leather Grip New Genuine VAG Handbrake Arm Cover Replacement Drivers Seat Bolster In addition to this I have also refurbished and refinished the leather with a full furniture clinic kit so it looks almost exactly as it did when it left the factory. In summary, everything works as it should, the car has wanted for nothing in my ownership and as such is in great condition. It has covered 117k miles, it doesn't smoke, use any oil or water, make any funny noises or misbehave. The car has 12 months MOT and is taxed to the end of January 2013. Also included in the asking price is a brand new Genuine VAG Chains, Guides and Tensioners set which cost more than £200. I was going to change these just so I could say I had, however, I don't really have the time, and the engine runs silently so there is no pressing need. When driven carefully (which is 99% of the time) it returns 35 mpg on my 7 mile commute to work. On a run, driven gently you can top 40 mpg being careful. The pictures were taken this weekend so that is what the car looks like now. I also have some more pictures should anyone want to see them. The car is located in Reading Berkshire, I am more than happy for people to come and look at the car, please drop me a PM and I will send over my phone number. Thanks for looking, Neal.

  17. VR6 | PRICE REDUCTION!!! dragon-green | Chelmsford Price: £1,950 Description: We are looking for a good new home for our much loved and well looked after Corrado VR6. We can honestly say this as we are the first owner. With only 64,000 miles it’s a rare find and a STEAL for this price. Our dragon green 1994 VR6 is all original (paint, dash board, steering wheel, seats, alloys etc.). The only alterations we had to make were for the headlights and the speedometer plate to comply with UK regs when we brought him over from Germany in 2004. We keep a full history of services, MOTs and invoices. Repairs history: new gasket set, new heater hose, new ignition coil pack He is in great condition, kept in a garage and the interior is like new (we used seat covers all the time and still use the original VW floor mats). The electric sunroof, electric windows, central locking and speed activated rear spoiler all work perfectly. We just had a new MOT and tax is paid to 06/2013. As you can see from the photos the one downside you may think is that it’s a left hand drive. But you get used to it quickly and overtaking is not really an issue as our VR6 Corrado is small, agile and quick (or just take a passenger for the first few times). We even found it has some advantages, such as better acceleration in left corners or out of roundabouts as you can get closer to the curbs without the fear of damaging the alloys (at least we have not damaged them yet). And if you want to take him to mainland Europe it’s all driving on the right anyway . Why are we selling our much loved Corrado? We finally decided to catch up with technology and bought a new Rocco, who will hopefully bring us as much joy as our Corrado has. We will consider all genuine offers as long as it’s a good caring home. We can send you some more photos or just come along to see for yourself.
  18. VR6 | PRICE REDUCED!!! | MILTON KEYNES BUCKINGHAMSHIRE Price: £2995 ONO Description: VW Corrado VR6 Excellent Condition **LOW MILEAGE, 1 OWNER FROM NEW** (1996) Redundancy is forcing me to reluctantly sell my 1996 -N registered (Late-one of the last) VW Corrado VR6 in beautiful Classic Green Pearl Effect (LC6U), which has only covered JUST 93,000 miles. Exceptionally low for these vehicles. A completely original honest example with only 1 mature owner from new. This car has never been modified or abused in any way. It still has its original dealer stickers in the windows. Unmarked interior with the added addition of black heated leather seats which are in exceptional condition. Classic Green colour with black leather - The best combination in my opinion. Very well maintained regardly of cost. Always garaged and rarely used in poor weather as it has been used as a second/third car.Paintwork has only ever seen either Autoglym or Meguires car care products. Only ever use Quantum Synta Silver Motor Oil & only ever use genuine VAG parts. Vehicle is supplied with all (original)3 keys & 2 remote fobs. Full closure Alarm & Immoboliser system. Leather wallet with all owner's manuals etc. Even has the original Sony stereo including the instruction booklets. V5 registration document present. Nearly new Goodyear Eagle NCT 5 tyres all round with plenty of tread on. MOT - JUN 2013 TAX - DEC 2012 Current MOT only 2 advisory's which was slight play in both rear wheel bearings. The MOT tester said that they only need tightening up a little. No ABS faults - Light comes on and goes off as it should (Often a common problem of staying on). Bad Bits: Really there isn't a lot at all - The only bad bits are a few areas of surface rust. The tailgate, by the rear wiper about the size of a 50p in size. On the bottom of the driver's door and around the front wheel arches (due to mud flaps being fitted, if you have these take them off as they encourage corrosion building up). - Common Fault A few stone chips to the front bumper - Common Fault Slight corrosion to original Speedline alloy wheel - Common Fault Electric mirrors are sometimes intermittent - Common Fault Heater blowers are sometimes intermittent (All or only on 4) - Common Fault Don't let any of the above put you off. I really am listing everything. These are very minor problems and if you are not aware of these cars are all very common and will certainly affect almost all but a few of these vehicles. All are a very easy fix. The car looks and drives like new and it is my opinion that you would be hard pushed to find a better example of this appreciating future classic. This would ideally suit a serious enthusiast as it would only take a small investment to get this mint to near concours (Show Winning) condition. I am pleased to offer this vehicle with a comprehensive and fully documented history file with all previous MOT certificates and with bills and receipts for work carried out. No expense has been spared. Anyone that knows of these vehicles know that with only 1 owner from new and with only 93,000 miles on the clock she hasn't even started her life yet. Vehicles with this sort of mileage on are now getting increasingly harder to find and are becoming rare and much sought after by collectors. Let alone a 1 owner vehicle. A genuinely stunning car that has been much loved and really is in outstanding condition for its age and drives absolutely beautifully (Seriously the photos do not do this car justice).Corrado prices at the moment are quite low so now is the chance to own a genuine example of an appreciating future classic that is only set to increase in value. It is sure to be an investment. A true collector's item. Autocar magazine voted this as 'One Of The Best Front-Wheel Drive Cars Of All Time'. Auto Express magazine describe it as "Regarded as one of VW’s best-ever drivers’ cars". And a 'Surefire Classic'. Car Magazine listed it as one of the "25 Cars You Must Drive Before You Die" MSN Autos 'Cool Cars We Miss' feature they listed the Corrado among its top eight "Gone but not forgotten: a short list of cars once loved, still missed", Top Gear, presenter Richard Hammond identified the Corrado as a future classic, "a kind of classic waiting in the wings... I think it's really rather special... the result is fantastic." ....and Blah, blah, blah - The reviews go on............ Any inspection welcome. Any questions please feel free to ask. Tel: - Darren on 07979 939911 After 15.30 Wkdays I am based in Milton Keynes Buckinghamshire I am open to sensible offers I seem to be getting alot of people asking if I am intrested in a part exchage which I am not but may consider if you have a mint set of original BBS RS301's Strictly NO CANVASSERS First to see will buy **PRICE REDUCED! BARGAIN!** £2995 ono Vehicle is advertised elsewhere albeit at a slightly higher asking price, so this is a special price for The Corrado Forum members.
  19. 2.0 16v | Dragon green | Bournemouth Price: £595 Description: Standard 2.0L 16V Golf Gti in Dragon Green 12 Months Mot Currently Sorn 148,000 miles £595 ono Located near Bournemouth, Dorset, Reluctantly it is time to sell my 1997 Dragon Green Golf Gti. The engine is the 2.0 litre 150hp 16v engine that is totally standard and in the time I have owned it has always run faultlessly recently returning 42mpg on a trip to Brugge and back in Belgium. The car has covered 148k miles and comes with 12 months Mot. The tax ran out at the end of June so will be sorn from the 1st of July. The car comes with full stamped service history (13 stamps) up to 110,000 miles with all subsequent service work carried out by myself and backed up with receipts. The car comes with a large folder of receipts detailing previous service work. I have owned the car for only 5 months, I bought the car as a temporary car between selling my Corrado VR6 and buying a diesel, I kept the car longer than intended as I was so impressed with it. The reason for sale being the fact I now do a far greater mileage than I used to and have bought a diesel. The car is fantastic, I will be sad to see her go. The engine pulls strongly through all the gears and does not smoke, use oil or water and always starts first time. The clutch is smooth and all gears engage well. The car brakes straight and true, the ride height is standard and the car is surprisingly economical. The air conditioning works really well, there is however a fault with the electric windows, only the front passenger window works and that is tempremental, this however has not bothered me as I simply use the air con, it was like this when I bought the car and I think when my friend bought it before me. The bodywork on the car is in good condition and looks fantastic in the sun. The car comes with the orogional alloys which are in fairly good condition. There is however a few small marks as to be expected with a car of this age and a small piece of trim missing from the drivers door as can be seen in the pictures. The interior is in excellent condition, the cloth seats are immaculate: no tears, burns or sagging. The headlining is as it should be and there are also no speaker holes cut in the rear parcel shelf. The car comes with 2 keys and two remote fobs, which operate the alarm and immobiliser. I will be happy to answer any questions by email, phone or text. Viewings and test drives welcome, although please bring proof of insurance if you want to drive it yourself. Thanks for looking, Steve – 07825 300475
  20. VR6 | **PRICE REDUCED** | Milton Keynes Buckinghamshire Price: £2995 ono Description: VW Corrado VR6 Excellent Condition **LOW MILEAGE, 1 OWNER FROM NEW** (1996) Redundancy is forcing me to reluctantly sell my 1996 -N registered (Late-one of the last) VW Corrado VR6 in beautiful Classic Green Pearl Effect (LC6U), which has only covered JUST 93,000 miles. 23. VR6 | Ice Grey Violet | Derby Price: £1000 Description: 1994 Corrado VR6 Ice grey violet £1000 ono 123,798 miles Heated black leather KW variant 1 suspension lowered 40mm, only 7000 miles on it. RH ZW1 17X8 wheels Miltek exhaust ITG air filter and heatshield AMD remap Lupo wipers Sony CD player MB Quart component speakers, 6X9 in stealth shelf Sony Amp New headlight switch Momo millenium wheel and gearknob TT pedal covers I’ve owned the car for 11 years in which it was well looked after with plenty of history and money spent. 2 years ago I was made redundant and couldn’t afford to maintain the car, consequently it has developed some faults which are listed below and hence the low price. I’m moving soon and don’t have anywhere to store the car at my new place, I’d love the car to go to someone on the forum who’d look after it and restore it to it’s former glory. The car hasn’t been driven for 6 months since it developed a coolant loss problem, I think it’s a leak in the system rather than head gasket but I'm no mechanic. There is a short in the electrics which causes the battery to go flat over a period of a few days if the car isn’t driven. Rear brakes are binding after I foolishly left the handbrake on when it was parked up. The heater only works on 4 and could do with a new fan; the car used to have air con, when that fan died I bodged in a fan from a polo which works but has slipped slightly so it whirs when going round corners. It still has the condenser and dash switches if someone wanted to re-fit the air-con. Sunroof not functioning doesn't tilt or slide. The ZW1’s are in need of a refurb, kerbing, peeling lacquer and dings are all present. The front ns wheel has a ding in the rim causing the tyre to lose pressure over a few days. Problem with ABS, removed relay to bypass it. Bonnet release cable has snapped. Rust around Corrado badge and front OS indicator, peeling lacquer on the roof edge. Usual parking dents and bonnet stone chips. No MOT or tax so car can't be test driven on the road. Included in the sale: 288mm brake calipers and pads Laptop with Vagcom and vagcom cable New RH centrecaps n/s headlight lens Custom TT gearshift surround. Original gear knob
  24. SOLD G60 | Pearl Grey | Preston Price: £1750 Description: Make and Model: Corrado G60 Year/Reg: 1991/J Mileage: 121,800 MOT & Tax: 11 months MOT, 5 months tax Description: Owned for the past 3 years and bought from a Corrado forum member. I’m selling as I’ve found myself doing more miles nowadays and have bought an S3. I had planned on keeping the Corrado as a second car, but realistically I’m not going to have time to use it and I’d rather it went to someone who will. As per title, it's a 1991 G60 in Pearl Grey metallic (LA7U paint code). Standard grey cloth interior with no rips or tears. Justmatz black floor mats. Momo Corse steering wheel (still have original G60 leather wheel if required but it’s a little tatty). Alpine mp3 head unit, Alpine components and Alpine 6x9s in rear shelf. Windows, spoiler, mirrors and all other electrics work fine, apart from the sunroof which tilts but doesn’t slide. Currently on 121k miles, bought on 97k which means I’ve done approx 7k a year. It’s been fantastically reliable in that time and has never failed to start. It uses no oil or water, doesn’t smoke or rattle and pulls really well from low down the revs. Oil and filter have been changed at least every 12 months using Synta Silver/Mann Filter. Brake fluid replaced July 2010, rear callipers serviced and new rear discs and pads earlier this year. Last year I also did a full flush of the cooling system and replaced the header tank with a shiny white one. Also this year it’s had a nearside front wheel bearing, new wishbones and uprated Audi bushes and a full wheel alignment carried out by Pro-tec motorsport. Other work I’ve done includes replacing the heater matrix and fan blower motor (December 09) cam belt and water pump (also December 09), de-cat pipe from Pipewerx (June 09), blue temp sensor, rad fan switch and blue expansion tank cap (August 09), rocker cover gasket and powder coated rocker cover (August 10), Lupo aero wipers fitted (this year), new driver’s side door handle with spare repair kit (again this year). Charger was rebuilt by G-Werks at 97k. Now has a 68mm pulley and G-Werks chip installed. Before I did this I had the car fully dyno tested with diagnostics by John Clarkson autos of Westhoughton, which included a full test of the boost system and a new seal on the charger outlet. After the work it was rolling roaded again at 187bhp & 189lbft torque with dyno printouts to prove. Clutch replaced in 2007 and the DX crank bolt mod has been carried out. The big end bearing shells were also replaced in 2007 (common G60 issue). It didn’t come with a huge amount of history or paperwork when I bought it (although I do still have the original dealer brochure), but the guy had obviously looked after it and I’ve since built up a decent stack of paperwork to prove all the above work. Currently sitting on a set of Ronal LS alloys with virtually brand new Toyo Proxes all round (less than 1000 miles use). 16mm hubcentric spacers all round. The alloys look ok from a distance, but all are kerbed (bought second hand already like this) and have suffered from water getting under the lacquer. Just never got round to refurbing them. Lowered approx 40mm on shocks and springs (damping adjustable on the front). I think the fronts may also be height adjustable but I’ve never looked into this. Bodywork is probably the weak point – whilst it does polish up well, on closer inspection it has a few car park dents, a scrape on the n/s rear wheel arch which was present when I bought it (adds character!), has had paint on a couple of panels and a few other imperfections. The G60 grill badge isn’t on as one of the clips snapped, but I do still have this. The driver’s door rubbing strip isn’t on at the moment, but I also have this. The front splitter has suffered from the ridiculous speed bumps round here, but that’s easily replaced. I also have the original springs to go back on if it’s just too low! I also have two sets of wheels that the car previously ran on – the original G60 BBS and a set of Lenso RS5 16”. The car can come with either of these for a reduced price if preferred, but the BBS will need four new tyres and the Lensos 2 new tyres. All in all it’s a great car with solid mechanicals that’s been well looked after. Any trial/inspection welcome and viewing is highly recommended. Test drives with proof of insurance only please. I’m based in Preston, Lancashire. Price: £1750 ono Contact details: email [email protected] or give me a call on 07732 066554
