Storm 0 Posted October 30, 2004 I've just picked up a set, no instructions though anybody got any they can scan for me please? Any tips?
16VG60 1 Posted November 1, 2004 I think you will find these come without intructions, mainly because they are self explanitory. Happy to offer help if required, but you should find that they fit like for like. they do include a pack of replacement parts. These are swapped over with the OE seat washers. As regards height setting this is a personal requirement and i would suggest you equalise all the units to give a base setting, and then carry out adjustmebnt to your liking from this point. Good time by the way to fit new strut top mounts. Once fitted and you are happy with the ride height make sure you get your camber and alignment adjusted. Good luck. Storm 0 Posted November 1, 2004 Thanks John. Got to wait for them to arrive, bought them off a chap in Germany. Have been used for 8 months, but relatively cheap so low risk I hope. I was going to give them a good clean up before they went on and paint my new brakes before I fit this little lot. :)

Storm 0 Posted November 13, 2004 Stuart, I'm thinking as the VR is miles heavier, its got to be better in the ride dept. Are your koenigsports or highsports?
exturbo2003 0 Posted November 14, 2004 mine were konigsports and are specific to the g60 so weight wont matter as the vr6 ones are hevier sprung good luck and let me know
VR6 0 Posted November 14, 2004 Storm - I've got the Konigs and personally, for the money they cost, I'm more than happy with them. Even the fussiest man in the world (Kev) thinks they're not too bad...
dinkus 10 Posted November 14, 2004 Even the fussiest man in the world (Kev) thinks they're not too bad... Now that's an endorsement if I ever saw one! If Kev likes them, they can't be bad
Storm 0 Posted November 14, 2004 I'm going to try them out and see how I get along. I wont lose out as I got them off of German Ebay, sold as fitting a VR6 either Golf or Rado. The springs have the following markings on them, can anyone with a VR look at theirs to see if they are the same?? 1866 front springs 3065 rear springs
exturbo2003 0 Posted November 14, 2004 springs are as 18= 180cm 6= 6mm dia of coil 6= 6nm mm2 funny but mine had same springs front and back and it was the front that was the problem which was 1866
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted November 14, 2004 Now that's an endorsement if I ever saw one! If Kev likes them, they can't be bad LOL. Yeah I am well impressed with them. I'm sure some of it is down to the youth of Tom's car as I wouldn't expect such a good ride if I put them on my old timer....
